Ruthilla Digital: South Sudan’s Go-To Media Partner for humanitarian organizations

According to the latest data from the South Sudan NGO Forum, there are about 312 national and 114 international NGOs currently operating in the country.

From education and health, to food security, livelihoods, protection, emergency response, and infrastructure development—these organizations are at the forefront of delivering critical support.

The impact of their work goes far beyond immediate relief. Humanitarian organizations in South Sudan not only save lives but also restore dignity, strengthen resilience, and help communities rebuild hope in the face of adversity.

Over the years, their interventions have touched thousands of lives, often stepping in at the most critical moments. Whether it is a child gaining access to education, a mother receiving lifesaving health care, or a community finding food security after displacement—the humanitarian presence continues to make a tangible impact on the lives of communities, every single day.

Sadly, though, more often than not, these efforts go unnoticed due to lack of proper documentation.

Considering the complex environment humanitarian organization operate, there is an urgent need for these organization to hire professional media and advocacy player with shared vision, to help bring their story to life.

By working with local partners like Ruthilla Digital, humanitarian organizations in South Sudan can amplify their visibility, build trust, and inspire both communities and donors.

Why work with Ruthilla Digital?

1. Tell Human Stories

Ruthilla Digital has a proven track record spanning over 14 years. Over the period, we have told stories of local people. We have a deep understanding of cultural contexts and local contact, making our storytelling approach unique, more authentic and relatable.

We understand that numbers are important, yes, but stories move people. By documenting the experiences of beneficiaries—mothers, children, community leaders—Ruthilla digital will humanize your work to inspire action.

2. Use Visual Storytelling to Build Trust

Most humanitarian organization field staff work under a very stressful environment due to the remoteness of the areas of operation and lack of infrastructure.

This often leads to poor visibility which often waters down the good work they do at the community level.

By hiring a professional advocacy firm like Ruthilla Digital, with a proven track record, you will get high-quality photos, short films which can be used on social media content to bring visibility to projects, showing both challenges and impact.

By doing so, the organizations will strengthen credibility with donors, partners, and the public.

3. Drive Community Engagement

Working with an organization which understands the landscape you operate in will not only help in promoting community engagement but also produce targeted messages and accurate information about humanitarian programs, hence reducing misinformation and building trust.

Ruthilla Digital leverages its underground connection with local community media in South Sudan and influencers, making outreach for your message more effective and cost-friendly.

4. Advocate for Policy Change

Media campaigns can highlight systemic issues—such as gender inequality or lack of health access—and influence decision-makers. Advocacy, when combined with evidence and storytelling, can accelerate reforms.

At Ruthilla Digital we understand the policy and social landscape which sets us apart as we frame messages that resonate with both communities and policymakers.

5. Strengthen Visibility for Donors and Partners

Ruthilla Digital’s mantra of “Quality First” will ensure to produce content that gives your organization a trusted voice on the ground. By communicating your activities effectively, you will get a message that wins trust from donors, while at the same time enhancing accountability.

What is feminism?

Who is a feminist?

Do feminists hate men?

Are there feminists in South Sudan, and what do they actually do?
All these questions — and more — will be answered in our next episode of MY STORY Podcast, dropping this Friday!

Her upbringing was quite an interesting one. Born in a family of ten, she only had three close men around her. Her two brothers and the father. The rest of her family members were either women or young girls.

Things even got worse when she joined school having studied in a single s*x school throughout her primary and education journey.

To make it worse, she attended a catholic school where her life was ‘programmed’.
Little did she know that growing up in such an environment would later shape her adult life, and even have an influence in a career path she takes.

Today, she is a renowned feminist who works with women and young girls on self-awareness and how important a woman can begin to humanize herself and see her value.

WHO IS A FEMINSIT?

Catch the full interview in our next episode on our official YouTube channel – RDTV Network, this Friday.
