Warrap State Minister of Health Visits Cholera Center at Kuajok Hospital

This morning , Hon. Abak Yel Madoot, Warrap State Minister of Health, conducted a courtesy visit to the Cholera Treatment Center at Kuajok Hospital. She and her team were warmly welcomed by Dr. Kulang, the Medical Director of the hospital.

During her visit, Minister Abak engaged with the medical team responsible for the care of cholera patients. They expressed their gratitude for her support but also highlighted significant challenges they face, including a critical shortage of essential medications. The medical staff revealed that many patients arrive at the facility without companions, complicating the care process.

Following these discussions, Minister Abak praised the nurses and health workers for their dedication and hard work in treating cholera patients. She commended their efforts, stating, "Your commitment to providing quality care in difficult circumstances is truly commendable."

The Minister assured the team that she had taken note of their challenges and affirmed her commitment to addressing these issues. "I will work closely with my ministry staff to find solutions for the problems identified during this visit," she stated.

Hon. Minister was accompanied by her staff from the State Ministry of Health, including John Akol Akol, the State Surveillance Officer, Lino Nyook, the Incident Manager.

Minister Abak's visit underscores the government’s commitment to improving healthcare services and addressing the urgent needs of health facilities in the State.

According to the current report from Albino Madut, the M&E officer, he told Tonj Times, there has been a concerning rise in cholera cases, with 81 new infections identified since 29 July. And as of Today, eight patients have been admitted for treatment, while two have been discharged and 74 have successfully recovered.

Just In: SPLM-IO Hands Over 17 Alleged Shirkat Gang Members to UNMISS

The SPLM-IO has given 17 young men, including teenagers, to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) so they can return to their families in Juba.

According to SPLM-IO officials, the youths had escaped to Upper Nile State after being forced into the army by government forces. They were reportedly arrested in Juba in June following a gang r**e case in Shirkat and accused of being gang members.

Witnesses say the group was flown to Malakal and later taken to a training camp in Baliet County. SPLM-IO claims they were forced into military training, which is illegal under national and international law.

The opposition group said the handover was to protect the youths and ensure their safe return. UNMISS will arrange their repatriation to Juba.

The Republic of South Sudan: We are told, fake or true news, that a plan is underway to export Palestinians from Gaza to South Sudan; as settlers or refugees. This message is very clear to South Sudanese. If this message is true, it could be very contentious indeed.

Herein below is article crown with the punchline caption right at the top, setting the tone before readers dive into it:

β€œSouth Sudan is NOT a dumping ground for the Middle East crisis. Exporting Palestinians here is not peace; it’s importing terrorism. We know Arab hegemony. We fought it. We bled for it. We will NOT live it again.” πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΈπŸ”₯

Exporting Palestinians to South Sudan is Exporting Terrorism to South Sudan

By Dr. Aldo Ajou Deng-Akuey (PhD)
Member of the National Legislature (Council of States)1

Introduction: We Know This History Too Well

South Sudanese people do not need a lecture on Arab hegemony; we lived it.
For centuries, the Arab slave trade hunted African lives from Bahr el Ghazal, Equatoria and to Upper Nile. In modern times, Khartoum’s Pan-Arabisation project tried to erase our identity, language, and culture. It was Egypt’s political export, a mission to make Sudan an Arab state from the desert to the swamps.

We fought a 50-year war (1955 to 2005), not only for independence, but to end foreign domination of our culture and our lives. Even in the Six-Day War of 1967, when the Sudanese government wanted to join the Arab states against Israel, in parliament, African Sudanese, Christian and Muslim alike, said NO. We refused to be dragged into wars of Arab identity politics.

Now, new reports are circulating: secret diplomatic exchanges between South Sudan, Israel, and the United States β€” with Donald Trump said to be pulling strings β€” about relocating Palestinians from Gaza to African countries, including South Sudan.

Let’s be clear: If this is true, it is not just a bad idea. It is dangerous for our security, for our unity, and for our future.

Why This Plan is a Threat
1. We’ve Seen This Terror Before
Radical Islamist terrorism in Africa has Arab fingerprints all over it:

β€’ Somalia – Al-Shabaab.
β€’ Nigeria – Boko Haram.
β€’ Sudan – The same Khartoum that hosted Osama bin Laden and Palestinians-Amas in particular.
β€’ Egypt, Lebanon, Mauritania – All tied to exporting jihadist ideology into Africa.

When radicalised Arabs come, they do not come quietly. They come with ideology, revenge, and networks. They can kill Israeli diplomats or investors right here in Juba, just to make a political statement.
2. It Reopens Old Wounds
We did not break free from Khartoum just to accept a new wave of imported Arab politics. We suffered Pan-Arabisation once. We cannot afford to import it again through the back door.
3. It Risks Our Sovereignty
If this deal is signed in secret, it tells the world South Sudan can be used as a dumping ground for other people’s conflicts. That is not independence; it is servitude.

A Message to Our Leaders

We are not against humanitarian help. If a Palestinian mother and her children run for safety, our African hearts will open. But we will not accept a forced mass relocation planned in foreign capitals.

Before anything is agreed, the people of South Sudan must be consulted:
β€’ Parliament must debate it.
β€’ Civil society must speak.
β€’ Churches and mosques must weigh in.
β€’ Security forces must assess the risks.

We are not a silent people. Our constitution belongs to us.

Where We Should Stand
β€’ Support Israel’s right to self-defence; but also demand both Israel and Palestine return to the two-state solution promised since Camp David.
β€’ Reject any plan to exile Palestinians to South Sudan as a political settlement.
β€’ Accept only voluntary humanitarian refugees, fully vetted, in numbers we can sustain, and never at the cost of our national security.

Conclusion: Not in Our Land, Not in Our Lifetime.

Exporting Palestinians to South Sudan is not a peace plan. It is a security time bomb. It will import the same radical Arab terrorism that has bled Africa from Somalia to Nigeria. It will reopen the wounds of Arab domination that we fought so hard to close.

Our message is simple: South Sudan is not a pawn on the Middle East chessboard. We will not trade our sovereignty for diplomatic favours. We will stand for peace; but we will stand for it on our terms.
