South Sudan: Flood Snapshot as of 25 October 2024

More than 1.3 million people are impacted by floods in 42 counties and the Abyei Administrative Area, with Jonglei and Northern
About 327,000 individuals are displaced in 18 counties and the Abyei Administrative Area.
Joint Government and interagency assessments in the last week found an additional 230k people in Jonglei, Northern
Heavy rainfall and flooding have rendered 15 major supply routes impassable, significantly restricting access to affected areas.

Happy Birthday to me and I thank God for his blessing and hope that he is giving me day and night to make sure that he is still on my side despite many challenges. South Sudan: Flooding Situation
As of 18 September, flooding has affected over 735,000 people across 38 of South Sudan’s 78 counties and the Abyei Administrative Area.
According to the International Organization for Migration (IOM), 76,230 people have been displaced, most reported in Renk, Upper Nile State. Source: UNOCHA

On this Memorial Day, we commemorate our brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. They did not live long enough to experience the privileges we enjoy today. Our success stands on the shoulders of their sacrifice. Let us unite and sing in praise of those heroes on this Memorial Day. May Almighty God change the suffering that we are still suffering with today due to our economic challenges and give us a better life so that we can continue to enjoy the pride of our country that we got after two missions South Sudanese gave their life for this land today call the Republic of South Sudan.
