Prosecution tells Dr. Machar's lawyers to bring their own expert if they doubt the current expert
The prosecution lawyers have urged the defense lawyers for Dr. Riek Machar and other co-accused to get their own expert in case they doubt the report of the current digital expert.
This occurred during the 58th session, where the defense team cross-examined the digital expert from South Africa.
During the session, defense Advocate Deng John Deng requested the digital expert to open the phone of the accused no. 1 and show the court the raw messages.
However, in response, Ajo Ohisa from the prosecution team objected to the request, citing that if the defense doubts the report, they should produce their own expert to challenge the current expert.
“If the defense doubts the report of the current expert, let them bring their own expert to examine all the phones and challenge the current expert,” Ohisa said.
