Daily Devotion – 5 September 2026

Text: Proverbs 1:7 (NIV)

> “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

Theme: The Foundation of True Wisdom

Background:
Proverbs teaches that genuine knowledge begins with reverence for God. Human intelligence and experience are valuable, but true wisdom comes from recognizing God as the source of truth and being willing to receive His instruction.

Application:
Today, begin your decisions with God. Seek His guidance through prayer and Scripture, remain humble enough to accept correction, and allow His wisdom to shape your words, choices, and relationships.

Conclusion:
The fear of the Lord is not simply being afraid of God; it is honoring, trusting, and obeying Him. When God is at the center of our lives, we gain wisdom for daily living.

Closing Prayer:
Lord, give me a heart that honors You and a spirit that is willing to learn. Guide my decisions, correct my mistakes, and help me walk in Your wisdom today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT!

It's with deepest sorrow to inform you (Relatives, Palau, Anok, Pakeer, and the public) of Atem Majok-Ayomwut Kunjok (Atem-Adhielkat) Passing on in Juba at Real DayCare Hospital on Thursday afternoon at around 2:15pm C.A.T.

Atem Majok had been battling illness since 2024. At first, he was admitted at Real DayCare Hospital and then taken to Kampala in 2024. This year Atem was transferred to India for further medications which haven't worked because the sickness had already spread widely and affected the organs. They doctors advised for his return which happened accordingly and management of his treatment was carried out in Juba where he unfortunately departed yesterday.

Atem was a great man, and the leader of Palau Youth in Juba. May God comfort us and Rest In Eternal Atem Majok-Ayomwut. 😭🙏🏾

BURIAL ARRANGEMENTS;

Grave preparations will start tomorrow.

Daily Devotion – 4 September 2026

Scripture: Galatians 5:22–23
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control…”

Theme: Bearing the Fruit of the Spirit

Background:
Paul contrasts the works of the flesh with the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit. These qualities are evidence of a life surrendered to God and guided by His Spirit.

Application:
As Christians, we are called not merely to speak about faith but to demonstrate Christ’s character in our daily lives. Let love guide our relationships, patience shape our responses, kindness influence our actions, and self-control govern our decisions. Today, allow the Holy Spirit to produce His fruit in you.

Conclusion:
A Spirit-filled life becomes visible through godly character. Let your words, actions, and relationships reflect Christ wherever you go.

Closing Prayer:
Heavenly Father, fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me bear the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. May my life reflect Christ and be a blessing to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Daily Devotion – 3 September 2026

Scripture: Psalm 18:2 “The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”

Theme: God Is Our Refuge and Strength

Background:
David wrote this psalm after God delivered him from his enemies. He recognized that his safety and victory came not from his own strength, but from God, whom he trusted as his protector and deliverer.

Application:
Whatever challenges you face today, make God your refuge. When you feel weak, afraid, or uncertain, trust His strength rather than relying only on your own ability. God remains your secure foundation.

Conclusion:
The world may change, but God remains our rock and stronghold. Trust Him, depend on Him, and do not be afraid.

Closing Prayer:
Lord, thank You for being my rock, fortress, and deliverer. Protect me today, strengthen my faith, and help me to trust You in every situation. Be my refuge and guide me according to Your will. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
