Scripture text:
“So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.” — 1 Corinthians 3:7

Theme: God Gives the Growth

Background:

The Apostle Paul the Apostle wrote 1 Corinthians to the church in Corinth to address divisions among believers. Some people were praising Paul while others followed Apollos. Paul reminded them that human servants only plant and water, but God alone gives spiritual growth and success.

Application:

In ministry, work, family, and daily life, we may labor faithfully, but true results come from God. We should serve humbly without pride or competition, trusting God to bless our efforts. Whether we plant seeds of faith, kindness, or encouragement, God is the one who changes hearts and brings increase.

Conclusion:

God values faithfulness more than human recognition. Our role is to obey and serve diligently while depending fully on Him for the outcome.

Closing Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding us that all growth and success come from You. Help us to serve faithfully with humility and trust in Your power. Bless the work of our hands and use us for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Theme: Salvation for Everyone Who Calls on the Lord

Text: "For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” — Romans 10:13

Background

The book of Epistle to the Romans was written by Apostle Paul around A.D. 57 to believers in Rome. In Romans chapter 10, Paul explains that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ and is available to all people, regardless of background, tribe, or nation. This verse emphasizes God’s grace and the open invitation of salvation to everyone who calls upon Him in faith.

Application

Romans 10:13 reminds us that God’s salvation is not limited to a few people; it is available to everyone. In times of fear, uncertainty, sickness, or struggle, believers are encouraged to call upon the name of the Lord with faith and confidence. As Christians, we are also called to share this message of hope with others so they too may know Christ.

Conclusion

God’s love and salvation are freely given to all who believe and call upon Him. No one is rejected when they come to the Lord in faith. Today, trust in God’s promise and continue to seek Him in prayer and obedience.

Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. Help us to trust in You and call upon Your name in every situation. Strengthen our faith and use us to share Your message of hope with others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Tanzania has seconded Botswana in taking drastic actions against South Africa in the rise of xenophobic attacks in the country.
The Tanzania President has reacted and responded by giving South African citizens 48 hours to leave the country or they will be forced to leave the country.
She has also ordered the immediate suspension of all air and maritime trade between Tanzania and South Africa.
In a firm speech, she criticized the South African government for not doing enough to stop the violence attacks by South African citizens against other foreign nationals, accusing it of having forgotten the support received during the struggle for independence” and of allowing “our children to be humiliated in a country that once sheltered exiles who fought against apartheid.”

Text: Acts 2:38 – “Peter replied, ‘Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’”

Theme: Repentance, Forgiveness, and New Life

Background:
This verse comes from Peter’s sermon on the Day of Pentecost, shortly after the resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ. Filled with the Holy Spirit, Peter boldly addressed the crowd, calling them to respond to the gospel message through repentance and baptism.

Application:
God calls each of us to turn away from sin and turn toward Him. Repentance is not just feeling sorry—it is a change of heart and direction. Through faith in Jesus Christ, we receive forgiveness and the gift of the Holy Spirit, who guides and empowers us to live a transformed life. Today is an opportunity to renew our commitment to walk in obedience and faith.

Conclusion:
The promise of God is clear: when we repent and believe, He forgives, renews, and fills us with His Spirit. Let us respond with humility and readiness to follow Him daily.

Closing Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your mercy and the gift of forgiveness through Jesus Christ. Help us to truly repent and turn away from sin. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit and guide us to live according to Your will. Strengthen our faith and renew our hearts each day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
