Air India Flight 171 Tragedy Claims Family of Five Days Before London Relocation

Ahmedabad. June 13, 2025 –A family embarking on a long-awaited new life in London was tragically lost today when Air India Flight 171 crashed shortly after takeoff from Mumbai. Among the victims were Pratik Joshi, his wife Dr. Komi Vyas, and their three young children. There were no survivors reported.

Mr. Joshi, a software professional, had resided in London for the past six years, diligently working towards securing a future abroad for his family. His wife, Dr. Vyas, a medical practitioner, and their children had remained in India during this period, awaiting the completion of necessary arrangements.

That moment had finally arrived. Mere days ago, Dr. Vyas resigned from her position in India. The family's belongings were packed, farewells exchanged, and their shared dream of reuniting in London was poised to become reality. Filled with anticipation for their new beginning, the Joshi family boarded the one-way flight to London this morning.

In a poignant final gesture, the family reportedly shared a selfie from the aircraft with relatives, capturing a moment of hope and excitement before departure.

Tragically, Air India Flight 171 never reached its destination. The subsequent crash extinguished not only the lives of all on board accept one, but also the culmination of years of planning, sacrifice, and aspiration for the Joshi family. Their story underscores the profound fragility of life and the abruptness with which profound loss can occur.

The incident has sent shockwaves through communities in both India and London, leaving relatives and colleagues grappling with the sudden void left by the family's passing. The focus now shifts to the investigation into the cause of the crash and supporting those affected by this devastating event.

Leilah Suzan, a cherished gospel minister known for her uplifting melodies and messages of faith, has tragically passed away following injuries sustained in an accident along the Terekeka Highway.

Her voice was a source of comfort and strength, touching countless hearts with worship and unwavering devotion. Though she is no longer with us, her songs will continue to inspire those seeking solace and hope.
