I had to go back to Gjakova yesterday 🫣

One of my favorite bands was playing and it was my first time listening to them live and I loved them. Check out Minatori Band Official videos (apologies for my singing haha and the poor quality) but definitely check out the professional posts of DITËT E SHQIPTARIT 🤗

I also checked out some local places of arts and crafts. Also, stopped by the local products market and tasted some more chips made of mushrooms - check out fungi_mungii

A quick stop also by The Vidasus Distillery - amazing products (I've only not tried Lahute yet -soon 🤗)

Then, I was hosted by Flutura Kukleci and spent most of the day with her and her family exploring some new parts in Deçan 😊

There's always something new to try even in places one goes every so often. Such was my trip to Gjakova this past weekend for the DITËT E SHQIPTARIT festival.

I tried a few new things - paddleboarding at Drini Canyon with Drini Outdoors and swimming after that as well 🏊‍♂️ 👙

I met Alice Ophelia with whom we'd been in touch over social media for a while but missed each other in our cities and Gjakova happened to bring us together 🤗

Of course, I listened to Alban Skenderaj because how couldn't I 🤩 Those who know me or follow me understand it.

I stayed in a protected kulla / stone house recently restored and opened for guests Kulla Dula - Guesthouse and enjoyed some more events and views of Gjakova along with some pizza from Pizza Tora.

A lovely day with CHwB Kosova in Junik. Got to spend time also with my friend Dz Fjolla and tour guide colleague Naile

Had an easy walk, saw the 'red sheep', experienced the performance of a group from Deçan, had a delicious lunch with traditional food 😋 and took a ride from Motorent_Krasniqi

I took a 1,5 hrs Oslo fjords tour when there and enjoyed the views 🤗

It is easy to book this experience and check in was super easy. What I do recommend is to install the app in advance (Guide to Go) so you don't waste your time when in the boat. Check the reel for the QR code 😉

Don't forget to bring your positive attitude, your headphones, SPF, a hat maybe (I forgot 😅) and just enjoy the surrounding views while learning for Oslo and the fjords through the app.

So difficult to only pick 20 pics from a full three days in Oslo, 🇳🇴

It was a work trip (but I'll keep those separate this time) and on the side I was exploring Oslo as much as I could in the spare time.

From following Mimozë Lladrovci recommendations and also meeting her over a beer and walk by the river, meeting etameem and sharing local snacks and beers by the sea, exploring further away places and finding hidden cafés (and eating muffins from strangers 🫣 but being okay 🤭), Oslo was fun.

The weather was also perfect. It rained once only and I was inside the Munch Museum exploring it, doing some woodpaint, and seeing 2 of 3 'The Scream" pieces. Also, went to the library nearby (which if I had more time, I'd love to spend it there among those wonderful collections).

Also, attended the reception for Alketa XH M "Thinking of You" exhibit dedicated to the conflict-related sexual violence survivors in Kosovo. And has a meeting at the Kosovo Embassy in Norway 🇳🇴

I'm not in Lyon now but these are pics from last November when I finally took an opportunity of a direct flight to go and visit and her city.

Fortunately, the weather was good so I could wander around with her and also on my own and explore a few places.

The best one, which also provided for a lovely view of the city and the sunset, was the Garden of Curiosities (3-6).

The Boulangerie du Palais had delicious food and snacks (and yes, generally there's a line)

The bookstore "Le Bal des Ardents" was super cool and plenty of books (I got a book for myself, too). I am old fashioned so I still love books and not the ebooks or audio books.

Veda also took me around at night by the old town and guided me around as well as to a traditional dinner 🤗

We also took some pictures printed on paper 😊

One last fun fact - we met in Kenya years ago and did part of my trip together, then we missed each other in Nuremberg 🫣, and then when this direct line from Prishtina to Lyon opened i decided to go visit and catch up 🤗

While i enjoy doing these funny things with chatgpt, I cannot stress out how worried I also am.

Admittedly, it is our fault that AI knows so much about us - because we feed it with info (asking questions, sharing pics, sharing thoughts), and yet for some reason we can't stop.

I saw this prompt at .noch.ka and I loved how lovely her sketch looked so I had to try mine. And not with one pic, two!!!

Oh, well. We won't live forever anyways.
