It’s Friday and what better way to celebrate the end of the week then with a new episode of the Eddy Out Podcast!! Whoop Whoop!

That’s right, Season 3 Episode 2 has officially dropped in the air waves!

In this interview, I chatted with a good friend and fellow water woman, Chandra Brown. Chandra is a River Guide, Writer, Former High School Art and Spanish Teacher & Founder of Freeflow Institute & Foundation. I wanted to get her on the podcast to talk about her story, her river experiences, her mission with Freeflow Institute and what’s her greater plans for the future.

OH HEY WORLD! We're back and officially in our next season! YAY! That's right, we just launched our first episode of Season 3 today and who better to start us out then the one and only Teal Lehto.

Teal (aka Western Water Girl on TikTok) is a water rights activist and digital content creator that is fighting for sustainable and equitable solutions to the current water crisis in the Colorado River Basin. I wanted to get Teal on the podcast to talk about her story, what drives her, who supports her, what’s been her biggest challenges and what’s her greater plans for the future.

I can’t wait for you all to get to know her. We had a lot of good laughs in this episode. I definitely learned a lot and feel an enormous amount of hope for her generation. They’re smart, driven and not scared to tell the truth.

Meet Brooke Hess, Alia Payne & Hailey Thompson. 3 of the 4 women (with Libby Tobey) paddling the Salmon River 1,000 miles from the source to sea as a conservation campaign promoting the removal of the 4 Lower Snake River Dams, in an effort to save the rapidly dwindling Snake River Basin salmon populations from extinction.

It’s one of the most motivating and inspiring episodes I’ve ever done. Their Stories. Their Drive. Their Mission. Their Purpose. These ladies are wise beyond their years and all share the same love and passion for the river.

Today we are dropping Episode 27 of the Eddy Out Podcast.

I myself have returned yet again from the mighty Grand Canyon where I rowed my 2nd of 4 Commercial trips for CanX or Canyon Explorations / Expeditions. It was warm, windy and low water but we had a hell of a time nonetheless.

Our trip was so stacked with musical talent that I decided to record another live set for you all to enjoy instead of our normal interviews. The music from today’s episode is coming to you live from Mile 222 in the Grand Canyon, just 4 miles above the Diamond Creek take-out.

When we arrived at that beach, which was our last camp of our 15 day trip, a few of the GCMRC or (Grand Canyon Monitoring and Research) staff were just finishing up a photo matching project so we saw it as an opportunity to sit down and play some tunes before they had to move on downstream.

The guides performing live today are, Kirk from GCMRC with his Banjo, Jed Alan on the vocals, guitar & harmonica, Cricket with that amazing voice singing and playing the guitar, Wiley Green also on vocals and shredding the mandolin and even our infamous trip leader Pauly Borichevsky rounding out the last of the session with his amazing voice and talent on the guitar!

Songs played are mostly originals and some covers from their favorite artists. I recorded only with my iPhone and was THOROUGHLY impressed with the quality of sound that I was able to capture.

I had the pleasure and honor to sit down and chat with Julie Munger, CEO/Founder of .

Julie is a true river woman and whitewater professional. From competing on the US Women's Rafting team to instructing Swift Water and technical rescue to even doing the first self-support riverboard trip down the Grand Canyon Julie is a “Jane of all trades" or "Julie of all trades".

I wanted to get her on the podcast as a tribute to her and her many accomplishments both on and off the water. In this episode we talk about how Julie’s childhood, her connection to the water, her international travels and her very successful business, Sierra Rescue.

Julie’s lifetime accomplishments include the first self-support riverboard trip down the Grand Canyon and co-owning Arctic River Journeys. She has been featured in such magazines as Outside, Paddlers, American Whitewater and Canoe and Kayak.
