A guy was in love
with a girl but
never had the
guts to tell her.

One night around 10pm,
he gathered
some courage &
sent her a text
with these
honest words...

"Irene, I love you,
Plz reply & tell me
how you feel."

A few seconds later
he received a
message alert
on his phone.

He was so scared and
too tensed to open
it that night
so he decided not to
check the message
until the next morning
when he's less tense
and in better senses.

So he went to sleep.

When he woke up
the next day
he prayed seriously
about the message
for good news,
went about doing
his morning chores,
brushed his teeth,
ate his breakfast
took a bath,
dressed himself up then climbed into bed
and picked his phone
to read the message
on his phone.
This was the response
he read:

"Dear customer you have
insufficient balance to send this message. Please recharge your account and try again".

A woman awakes during the night to find that her husband was not in bed.. She puts on her dressing gown and goes downstairs to look for him..
She finds him sitting at the kitchen table with a hot cup of coffee in front of him.
"He appeared to be in deep thought, just staring at the wall"
She watches as he wipes a tear from his eye and takes a sip of his coffee...
"What's the matter, dear?" she whispers as she steps into the room.

The husband looks up from his coffee, "I am just remembering when we first met 20 years ago and started dating.. Do you remember back then?", he says...
The wife is touched to tears thinking that her husband is so caring, so sensitive.
"Yes, I do", she replies.
The husband pauses. "The words were not coming easily."
"Do you remember when your father caught us in my car?"
"Yes, I remember, says the wife, lowering herself into a chair beside him."
The husband continues.
"Do you remember when he shoved the shotgun in my face and said,
"Either you marry my daughter, or I will send you to jail for 20 years?""
"I remember that also", she replies softly.
He wipes another tear from his cheek and says...

"I would have been released today if only I made the right decision!"

I don’t trust people who believe there’s nothing about themselves that they need to change. That makes zero sense to me. You can be a genuinely good person, but there are always behaviors and mentalities you need to actively unlearn, and there are always things about yourself that you need to work on. There is always room for growth and improvement as long as you are alive. Acknowledging this doesn’t mean you have to be self-deprecating at all. Honest yet gentle constructive criticism about yourself is essential to maintaining healthy relationships and living your best life. It is how you hold yourself accountable for the harm you cause yourself and others.

Nobody actually talks about how temporal this love thing is nowadays. One minute you guys are watching movies & listening to music together. Going out. Making love. Making war. Making peace. Making promises. Long phone calls. Long walks. Long hugs. Deep conversations. Deep kisses. To not actually talking at all. Think about this... One minute you are planning your entire future with someone. Next minute you become strangers that don't even text each other anymore. It's hectic!

You’re going to be ok. Don’t be embarrassed by your situation. Most people are covering up their situations with trips, pictures, and smiles. If you only knew how many people have been right where you are. The best advice I received is “ Just keep living.. God has you right where you need to be “. So, no matter where you are right now. Make a plan, ignore the distractions, focus on God, walk by faith, pray and obey. It will get better! You’re going to be ok.💌

being cheated on changes you. i never want to experience that "why wasn't I good enough" pain again. questioning myself and my qualities. wondering what I could've done better. struggling to trust. being afraid to open up to someone new. i would never wish this pain on anyone.
