We join the football family in mourning the passing of referee Nkululeko โLiberationโ Hadzebe. A man whose spirit lit up the pitch, now remembered beyond the final whistle. The Trade Fair Cup began with 16 hopefuls chasing silverware under the Mavuso floodlights, but only four teams carried their ambitions into the final weekend. By the end, Nsingizini Hotspurs, Green Mamba, Manzini Sea Birds, and Ubombo Sugar had emerged as the tournamentโs last four standing - each with their own story, setbacks, and statements to take into the season ahead.
For Nsingizini Hotspurs, it was a run defined by resilience, crowned with glory in the final, even without five of their regular starters away on national duty. Green Mamba, polished and dangerous, fell just short but reminded everyone why they remain perennial contenders. Manzini Sea Birds steadied themselves in the third-place playoff, finding belief and a top scorer in Muzi Tsabedze, while Ubombo Sugarโs bold rebrand and fearless performances proved they belong in bigger conversations.
