Flash flooding threat for the leeward islands continues as heavy rainfall from jerry spreads across the region.

The government of Antigua and Barbuda has discontinued the Tropical Storm Warning for Barbuda and Anguilla, as well as the Tropical Storm Watch for Antigua, St. Kitts, Nevis, and Montserrat.

A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for...
* St. Barthelemy and St. Martin
* Sint Maarten
* Guadeloupe and the adjacent islands

A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect for...
* Saba and St. Eustatius.

On the forecast track, the center of Jerry will continue passing to the north of the Leeward Islands this morning, then move away from the islands later today.

At 500 AM AST (0900 UTC). IMELDA IS MOVING QUICKLY AWAY FROM BERMUDA AND IS EXPECTED TO BECOME EXTRATROPICAL LATER TODAY.

The Meteorological Service of Bermuda has changed the Hurricane Warning for Bermuda to a Tropical Storm Warning.

On the forecast track, the core of Imelda will move farther away from Bermuda during the next several hours.

IMELDA CLOSING IN ON BERMUDA WITH HAZARDOUS WINDS EXPECTED TO INCREASE TONIGHT

HURRICANE-FORCE WINDS, DAMAGING WAVES, AND FLASH FLOODING EXPECTED OVER BERMUDA INTO EARLY THURSDAY

Maximum sustained winds remain near 100 mph (155 km/h) with higher gusts.

Some additional strengthening is possible before Imelda passes close to Bermuda late tonight. Imelda is expected to become an extratropical low on Thursday, with gradual weakening forecast thereafter.
