Jennifer Lopez confirmed that she and Ben Affleck have officially tied the knot, just months after they announced their engagement in April. In her newsletter ‘On the JLo,’ the singer wrote about her wedding ceremony in Las Vegas and shared intimate photos of the nuptials.

‘We did it,’ she wrote in her newsletter on Sunday. ‘Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient.’ She ended the newsletter with her new married name: Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Affleck.

The couple first met in the early 2000s while filming ‘Gigli.’ They started dating and later got engaged, but called it off in 2004.

A couple is claiming that an employee at a Walgreens in Hayward, WI, refused to sell them condoms, citing his religious beliefs. Nate Pentz shared on Twitter earlier this month that he and his partner Jess had gone to purchase condoms because they were on a trip and she left her birth control at home. ’As Jess was checking out, cashier John told her he couldn’t sell her the condoms. ‘Oh I got them from over there,‘’ Pentz quoted Jess to have said. ‘We can, but I won’t because of my faith,‘’ the employee reportedly replied.

A Walgreens spokesperson informed NBC News that the employee had in fact adhered to company policy, saying, ‘Our policies are designed to ensure we meet the needs of our patients and customers while respecting the religious and moral beliefs of our team members.’

‘The instances are rare, however when a team member has a moral or religious conviction about completing a transaction, they are required to refer the customer to another employee or manager on duty who will complete the transaction, which is what occurred in this instance,' the spox continued.

News of the incident came just days after an allegedly similar encounter between a woman named Abigail Martin and a Walgreens staffer at a different location. After the Pentzes’ story went viral, calls to boycott Walgreens began spreading across social media.

Lt. Gen. Michael Langley is set to become the first Black four-star general in the Marines' 246-year history. He will appear before the Senate Armed Services Committee on Thursday and, if confirmed by the Senate, he will lead thousands of U.S. troops in Africa as chief of U.S. Africa Command.

Langley, who is from Shreveport, LA, has served more than three decades in the U.S. Marine Corps. He has served abroad in Afghanistan, Japan, and Somalia. Langley has received multiple advanced degrees in strategic studies from the U.S. Naval War College and the U.S. Army War College. The Louisiana native is one of only six Black generals to serve in the branch.

Increasing diversity in the armed forces, especially among its leadership ranks, has been an ongoing effort for the U.S. military’s top brass. More than 70 white men have achieved and earned the highest rank in the Marines, vs. Langley as the sole Black man. More than 80% of generals in all of the U.S. military branches are white, according to research by the Council on Foreign Relations.
