Caviar.
I was 15 when I spent a week’s worth of pocket money on a tin— not the best, but enough to chase the obsession my heroes had.
One spoonful in, and it made sense. Salty, soft, strange. Familiar, but from a place I’d never been.
Every new flavor since has felt like a door—
