Meet the Jellyfish 🪼

Jellyfish have existed for over 500 million years, making them older than dinosaurs. This species uses gentle pulsing to move through the water, conserving energy while drifting with ocean currents. Despite their soft appearance, jellyfish play an important role in marine ecosystems as both predator and prey.

What a bitter sweet night! I’m so happy for and for starting a new adventure in the Maldives but Phi Phi will never be the same without you! The hardest part of this life is making amazing friendships and then having to say goodbye. The last few years have been so much fun and made memories I’ll never forget (mushrooms sai village, driving long tails, under water fights and countless nights at relax and let’s not forget SongKran x2 just for a few). You both are amewsome and hope our paths cross again! Love you guys!

A Walk Through 5,000 Years of Korean History 🇰🇷✨

If Gyeongbokgung shows you how the royals lived, the National Museum of Korea shows you everything that shaped the country.

This museum is massive — we’re talking over 12,000 artifacts on display (out of a collection of more than 300,000!). You can literally walk through prehistoric Korea, the Three Kingdoms period, the rise of Buddhism, the Joseon Dynasty, and the modern era in just a few hours.

Some of the highlights you have to see:
🏺 Golden Crowns of Silla – stunning 5th–6th century gold crowns from the ancient kingdom of Silla
🪷 Pensive Bodhisattva – a serene 6th-century Buddhist statue that’s considered a national treasure
📜 Joseon Calligraphy & Paintings – showing the beauty of traditional Korean ink art
⚔️ Historic Weapons & Armor – that reveal Korea’s resilience through centuries of invasions
🖼 Modern History Gallery – explaining Korea’s rapid transformation in the 20th century

And the best part? Admission is free! 🙌
That means you can spend as long as you want wandering, reading, and soaking up the history without worrying about tickets.

Walking Through Seoul’s Streets of Memories “70’s and 80’s streets”

If you’ve ever wished you could see what Seoul looked like before the skyscrapers and K-pop billboards — this is the place.

The ‘Streets of Memories’ is a carefully recreated neighborhood that takes you back to 1970s and 80s Korea.
Think:
📺 Old TV sets & Radios playing retro news broadcasts
🚲 Vintage Bicycles & Shop Signs lining the streets
🍜 Snack Stalls selling tteokbokki, odeng, and other classic street foods
📰 Posters & Photos of everyday life from decades ago

It’s part history museum, part time machine — perfect if you want to experience the Seoul your parents or grandparents might remember.

This is such a cool way to understand Seoul’s story — not just the royal history, but the everyday lives of people during Korea’s rapid modernization.

This is Seoul’s largest and most iconic palace — built all the way back in 1395, just three years after the Joseon Dynasty was founded. 👑

It was designed as the main royal palace where the king and queen lived, government offices operated, and major state ceremonies were held. Imagine this place centuries ago, bustling with guards, scholars, and royal court life.

But history wasn’t always kind — Gyeongbokgung was burned down during the Japanese invasions of the late 1500s, left in ruins for nearly 300 years, and then rebuilt during the 1800s. Parts of it were torn down again during the early 1900s occupation.

What you see today is the result of a massive restoration project that started in the 1990s — and it’s still ongoing. The goal is to bring the entire palace back to its original 14th-century glory. 🏯

Every colorful beam and rooftop detail is hand-painted in ‘dancheong’ — a traditional Korean patterning meant to protect the wood and symbolize social status.

This place truly feels like stepping back in time — and I love that you can walk freely through history here.

Big Thanks to for showing me around this incredible place! Lots of walking but finished it off with ice cream and coffee another great day!

Had a quick stop in Seoul! Due to some flight issues it was much shorter than I would have liked but thanks to some amazing recommendations from I was able to check out the super cool traditional Bukchon Hanok Village, wander the streets a bit, and eat some incredible food! Who doesn’t love dumplings, spicy kimchi and noodles at Myeongdong Kyoja! Definitely coming back soon to explore more!
