Quebec City is not disappointing!! Being blessed with gorgeous weather and fewer crowds, it’s a pleasure walking around taking in all of the sights! ….and the food! Between the old architecture, tiny streets and the outdoor café scene, it really feels like you’re in Europe at times.

There is something here for everyone.

And so much culture!
The service and friendliness of the local people working in the shops and restaurants adds to the top notch experience 🇨🇦

After a night in Trois Rivières, we are officially on the road to Quebec City!!
We are getting a beautiful 25° with perfect blue skies today for our first day exploring!

Not sure if we are more excited for the scenic European Old City or the food!

UPDATE: The Sadie saga is over! We are fixed up and on the road! Mitch has some new Mercedes merch (because what’s another $30 at this point?!!) and I’m having a little glass of champagne in the sunshine while Mitch sets up our spot for the night 🥂😂

For all of the mechanic/car geeks out there who were curious what the issue was… we had to replace two NOx sensors (one had failed and the other would eventually).

We are chilling for the rest of the day, doing some laundry and last minute planning for our road trip!!

We are Quebec bound tomorrow!!

Quebec City will be our first major stop later this week. Does anyone have any, must-eat, must-see, must-do tips for us?! Please drop a comment below! 👇

We made it to Ottawa, slept by the Ottawa River for the night and made our way to the shop this morning! Sadie is now at the “spa” and in the capable hands of the people at Mercedes Benz Ottawa. Send good vibes for a quick (and inexpensive) diagnosis and fix!! 🚐

Stopped for the night….8 starts left on the van, 200kms to Ottawa…24hrs until the mechanic appointment. We got this! But first….coffee!! ☕️

Oh man! We have to get Sadie 1000kms back home to our dealership to get looked at! We don’t seem to have any noticeable engine issues, but with a warning light on and only 10 more starts before she won’t start anymore. 😬

Wish us luck, we are hitting the long road back to Ottawa. 🇨🇦

It was a campfire kinda evening last night 🔥🇨🇦

First fire of the season for us! Hopefully the first of many because we do love a good campfire!

We love it so much that Mitch has a line in the budget for “firewood” under the entertainment category 😂

Loving the longer days back in Canada!🇨🇦 Enjoying sunsets at 9pm instead of 6pm, really makes a difference!

Our first camping spot of the year was at Marten River Provincial Park. We enjoyed some sunset wine at the beach, which we had all to ourselves (except for the company of 857 blackflies)!

So far all is good with the rig! Sadie is purring down the highway!

And we’re off! 🇨🇦 First Canadian road trip is underway! Coffee in hand, sunnies engaged, full tank of fuel…🚐

We love the shoulder season when campgrounds are pretty much empty, the highways aren’t packed with summer vacationers and there’s still a crispness in the air (and a few thousand blackflies 😐)

Throwback to Ho Chi Minh City! 🇻🇳 Ben Than Market is the biggest market in the city and it was closed when we were there over the Tet holiday!!

We loved Saigon and definitely want to return. It was also very affordable for a big, modern city. Jan is busy editing our Ho Chi Minh City costs, so we hope to have a video out later today on our week in Saigon budget!!
