Yeah Baby!!! When Film Fixers Laos was entrusted by the worlds most famous chef and his team with the monumental task of helping them design and facilitate a culinary expedition like no other through a little known back water country of Asia, with the most talented people in the media business, we knew we had our work cut out for us.
Not only did Gordon love the expedition we designed and facilitated, Director of Film Fixers Southeast Asia was subsequently invited to walk the red carpet and Launch the series with Gordon + Show Runner Jon Kroll and Chefs Kimi Werner and Monique Fiso to over 250 TV, News and Magazine teams in Los Angeles at the famous TCA event at the Beverly Hills Hilton, one of the biggest annual Hollywood media events of the year and we were National Geographics Main Event.
Film Fixers Southeast Asia was subsequently entrusted by Gordon's team to help design another 3 x episodes for the "Uncharted Series" in Thailand, Malaysia and Cambodia and we are proud to say that all three of those episodes were subsequently Green Lit by Nat Geo, which was a huge vote of confidence our my teams capabilities. Unfortunately a series of strict Covid Lockdowns Intervened And Wreaked Havock with our otherwise rock solid filming plans, sooo frustrating!!!😤...
Nonetheless, the real icing on the cake with this story came more recently when Gordon nominated Laos as the best new food destination on Earth off the back of a unique culinary expedition, that was initially birthed in the imaginations of our team leaders at film fixers Southeast Aisa and subsequently tweaked and refinded in close collaboration with the very talented teams at Studio Ramsay and National Geographic.
The lesson for us is to never under estimate our ability to adapt, strive and thrive in every field of endeavour, when we pour real passion and energy into our work, because if a mediocre Cook like our director Mick O'Shea, can play a key role in designing a culinary experience that prompts the worlds greatest chef to nominate a country like Laos as the hottest new food destination on the planet, then guess what? There truly are no limits!!!
