PinoyThaiyo Emblazing Filipinos in Thailand and Abroad Welcome to the page of PinoyThaiyo, the first and only Filipino online magazine in the Kingdom of Thailand.

Pinoy Thaiyo aims to raise awareness of various issues, trends, practices and other events that are of significant importance to the Filipino community in Thailand first and foremost as well as Filipinos in other parts of the world. By having the magazine published in English, we hope that it can also serve as a tool for other nationalities to see the Philippines in a more positive light and gain

a better understanding of Filipinos in general which will ultimately lead to their appreciation of our culture. The name Pinoy Thaiyo came as a result of a play on words that had both Filipino and Thai in them. “Tayo” which is the Filipino word for “We”, had its spelling changed to make it both unique and easily remembered.

A Bangkok beauty clinic owner sought police intervention after a transgender client refused to settle the remaining 28,000 baht for breast augmentation surgery at her On Nut clinic. The client reportedly remained on the operating table for hours, watching TikTok videos.

The client, who had paid a 50% deposit, initially claimed she needed to leave to retrieve cash from home, a request the owner refused. The police were subsequently called to mediate the payment dispute.

The outstanding debt was eventually paid after the client secured loans from several acquaintances, including a friend who was later blocked. The clinic owner chose not to press charges but publicised the event as a warning to other clinics.

Bangkok police close inbound Ratchadaphisek Road after flash flooding reaches dangerous levels, urging motorists to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.

Heavy flooding hit several major roads in Bangkok on Thursday (November 13), with Ratchadaphisek Road among the worst affected after drainage systems failed to cope with the sudden early-morning downpour.

The Phahonyothin Police Station issued an urgent announcement, informing road users of the temporary closure of the inbound lanes of Ratchadaphisek Road, from Ratchayothin Intersection to Ratchada-Ladprao Intersection, due to dangerously high water levels.

Officials warned that floodwater in the closed section is deep enough to threaten most vehicles, particularly small passenger cars, which risk severe engine and electrical damage if attempting to drive through.
