"I Found Her for Him"

I found another for my husband,
not out of hate,
but because he said
he needed someone
when I was away.

I gave with love,
with trembling strength,
thinking I could bear
what I now carry.

But now his time is shared,
his voice no longer mine alone.
He laughs in places
I can’t hear,
and it tears me quietly
each day.

I still love him—
wholeheartedly,
hopelessly—
but he must now
divide his heart.

And I,
I sit with the ache of giving,
wishing I could heal
from a wound
I gave myself.

Still, I hope—
that one day,
my soul will stop breaking
and start blooming again.

"Whole Day, Whole Night"

Today,
they are together—
the whole day,
the whole night.

In the house I once called mine,
he laughs, he rests,
beside someone
who is not me.

I wonder,
does he think of me
as I think of him—
silently, painfully?

I gave him this.
But tonight,
I carry the cost
alone.

Still, I breathe.
Still, I survive.
Even through
this first long night.

🌿 How to Heal from the Pain You Caused Yourself

1. Acknowledge the Pain Without Guilt
It's okay to say: "I tried to do what was right, but it hurt me." Loving someone and sacrificing for them doesn’t make you weak—it makes you human. You don’t have to punish yourself for making a choice with good intentions.

2. Accept That Love Sometimes Hurts—Even When It’s Selfless
You gave him something many wouldn’t. That was brave. But bravery sometimes leaves bruises. Accept that you did your best with the love you understood then.

3. Speak Kindly to Yourself
Forgive yourself. Say:
“I made a choice out of love. It didn’t go how I hoped. But I still deserve peace and healing.”

4. Refocus Your Love
Start pouring that love into yourself now. Care for your body, your dreams, your spirit. Reclaim what you gave away too freely.

5. Write it Out or Talk it Out
Journaling or speaking to someone you trust can lift the weight from your chest. Say everything you never said—to him, or even to yourself.

6. Set Boundaries for Your Heart
You can still be kind, still care—but protect the parts of you that need rest, attention, and healing. It’s okay to take space emotionally.

7. Trust That This Pain Will Pass
You’re not stuck here. Healing is not quick, but it is possible. You were strong enough to make that choice—you're strong enough to rise from its aches.

"The Choice That Cut Me"

I rise each day for those I love—
My mother, my father, my children above.
My hands are full, my soul worn thin,
But I never worked for him—he had strength within.

He said he felt alone when I was gone,
So I searched the world to find him someone.
I gave him a hand, not knowing then,
The one who would bleed would be me again.

It was my choice, I made the way,
Yet still I break a little each day.
To see him smile, but not at me,
To watch him drift where I can’t be.

I did not choose to love him less,
But gave my heart to duty’s dress.
And now I live with this quiet ache—
A selfless love, a silent break.

I don’t regret the love I gave,
But some nights I cry for what I braved.
For even the strongest hearts can fall,
When they give away too much of it all.
