To the International Community, Especially the People of Thailand

The ongoing conflict taking place within Cambodian territory has been instigated by the Thai military. Cambodia, as a smaller and less militarily equipped nation compared to Thailand, has no reason or capacity to provoke such a confrontation.

Recently, both the Prime Minister of Malaysia and the President of the United States have called for an immediate ceasefire, urging both sides to halt hostilities unconditionally in order to protect innocent lives. Cambodia accepted this request in good faith. However, following this agreement, the Thai military has repeatedly violated the ceasefire by escalating its attacks and continuing to bomb Cambodian territory.

Cambodia is merely exercising its sovereign right to defend its land and its people. We hope that the international community, and especially the Thai public, understands the true cause of this conflict and does not mistakenly place blame on Cambodia.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
