พิธีเปิดการฝึกร่วม/ผสม คอบร้าโกลด์ 2026

O’NEILL) เอกอัครราชทูตสหรัฐอเมริกาประจำประเทศไทย และพลโท แมทธิว แมคฟาร์เลน แม่ทัพน้อยที่ 1 กองทัพบกสหรัฐฯ (LTG Matthew McFarlane, Commanding General of America’s First Corps) เป็นประธานร่วมในพิธีเปิดการฝึกร่วม/ผสม คอบร้าโกลด์ 2026 ณ สนามบินอู่ตะเภา กองการบินทหารเรือ กองเรือยุทธการ จังหวัดระยอง โดยมี เอกอัครราชทูตสิงคโปร์ประจำประเทศไทย อัครราชทูตที่ปรึกษาอินโดนีเซียประจำประเทศไทย เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐเกาหลีประจำประเทศไทย เอกอัครราชทูตญี่ปุ่นประจำประเทศไทย และเอกอัครราชทูตมาเลเซียประจำประเทศไทย เข้าร่วมพิธีฯ
การฝึกคอบร้าโกลด์ เป็นการฝึกร่วมผสมแบบพหุภาคีระหว่างกองทัพไทย กองทัพสหรัฐอเมริกา และกองทัพมิตรประเทศ ในปีนี้ เป็นปีที่ 45 (Heavy Year) มีประวัติยาวนานที่สุดการฝึกหนึ่งในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ซึ่งกองทัพไทยและกองกำลังสหรัฐฯ ภาคพื้นอินโด-แปซิฟิก ร่วมกันเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดการฝึกในประเทศไทยเป็นประจำทุกปี โดยมีประเทศเข้าร่วมการฝึกหลัก จำนวน 7 ประเทศ ประกอบด้วย ไทย สหรัฐอเมริกา สิงคโปร์ อินโดนีเซีย ญี่ปุ่น สาธารณรัฐเกาหลี และมาเลเซีย ประเทศร่วมการฝึกเพิ่มเติม จำนวน 3 ประเทศ ประกอบด้วย จีน อินเดีย และออสเตรเลีย สำหรับกลุ่มประเทศที่หมุนเวียนเข้าร่วมกิจกรรม ได้แก่ ประเทศในโครงการเสนาธิการผสมส่วนเพิ่มนานาชาติ
หรือ MPAT (Multinational Planning Augmentation Team) จำนวน 10 ประเทศ ประกอบด้วย บังกลาเทศ แคนาดา ฟิจิ ฝรั่งเศส สหราชอาณาจักร อิตาลี มองโกเลีย เนปาล นิวซีแลนด์ และฟิลิปปินส์ ประเทศที่เข้าร่วมในโครงการสังเกตการณ์การฝึก (Combined Observer Liaison Team : C**T) จำนวน 10 ประเทศ ประกอบด้วย บรูไน เยอรมนี จอร์แดน ลาว เนเธอร์แลนด์ ปากีสถาน ซาอุดีอาระเบีย สวีเดน ติมอร์-เลสเต และเวียดนาม รวมทั้งสิ้น 30 ประเทศ จำนวนผู้เข้าร่วมการฝึกฯ มากกว่า 8,000 นาย เพื่อเสริมสร้างความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างมิตรประเทศที่เข้าร่วมการฝึกฯ โดยกำหนดการฝึกหลักระหว่างวันที่ 23 กุมภาพันธ์ ถึง 6 มีนาคม พ.ศ. 2569
สำหรับแนวคิดการฝึกในปีนี้ เน้นการปฏิบัติการร่วม/ผสมในทุกมิติ หรือ CJADO (Combined Joint All Domain Operations CJADO) อย่างเต็มรูปแบบ โดยเชื่อมโยงการฝึกปัญหาที่บังคับการ (CPX) กับการฝึกภาคสนาม (FTX) เข้าด้วยกัน ผ่านศูนย์อำนวยการยุทธ์ (Operations Center : OC) โดยครอบคลุมการปฏิบัติการร่วม ทั้งทางบก ทางทะเล และทางอากาศ รวมทั้งให้ความสำคัญอย่างต่อเนื่องในมิติห้วงอวกาศ และมิติทางไซเบอร์ (Cyber) เพิ่มเติมด้วยการฝึกวิเคราะห์ภาพถ่ายทางอากาศ (GEOINT) และการฝึกปฏิบัติการข่าวกรองทางสัญญาณ (Signals Intelligence : SIGINT) ตลอดจนการฝึกการช่วยเหลือทางมนุษยธรรมและบรรเทาภัยพิบัติ (Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR)) นอกจากนี้ ทางกองทัพเรือได้มีการพัฒนาขีดความสามารถในการฝึกร่วมให้ครอบคลุมมากยิ่งขึ้น ถือเป็นก้าวสำคัญ
ในการพัฒนาศักยภาพป้องกันประเทศ และความร่วมมือด้านความมั่นคงในภูมิภาค
หนึ่งในภารกิจสำคัญของการฝึกครั้งนี้ คือการสาธิตการฝึกช่วยเหลือด้านมนุษยธรรมและการบรรเทาสาธารณภัย (Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Demonstration : HADR DEMO ) ซึ่งมุ่งเสริมสร้างขีดความสามารถของกำลังพลนานาชาติในการรับมือกับภัยพิบัติได้อย่างรวดเร็วและมีประสิทธิภาพ โดยการสาธิตการฝึกครั้งนี้ได้มีการร่วมปฏิบัติหน้าที่ของชุดสุนัขค้นหาและกู้ภัย (Search and Rescue Dog / SAR) ภายใต้ทีม K9 USAR THAILAND เข้าร่วมปฏิบัติภารกิจ พร้อมด้วย คุณเอ็มไอซิกข์ (Mi-6) สุนัขทรงเลี้ยงในสมเด็จพระเจ้าลูกเธอ เจ้าฟ้าสิริวัณณวรี นารีรัตนราชกัญญา ได้เข้าร่วมปฏิบัติภารกิจค้นหาและกู้ภัยในการฝึกครั้งนี้ด้วย นับเป็นพระมหากรุณาธิคุณอันล้นพ้นที่ทรงสนับสนุนภารกิจด้านการช่วยเหลือประชาชนและการพัฒนาศักยภาพด้านการกู้ภัยของประเทศไทยอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม สะท้อนถึงความร่วมมืออันแน่นแฟ้นระหว่างภาคประชาสังคม หน่วยงานเฉพาะกิจ และกองทัพในการเตรียมความพร้อมรับมือภัยพิบัติเพื่อประชาชนทั้งในประเทศและในระดับนานาชาติต่อไป
ทั้งนี้ การฝึกร่วม/ผสม คอบร้าโกลด์ ช่วยเสริมสร้างขีดความสามารถในการปฏิบัติการร่วมกันระหว่างกองทัพไทย และกองทัพมิตรประเทศ ให้สามารถตอบสนองต่อภัยคุกคามในทุกรูปแบบ รวมทั้งการบริหารจัดการงานด้านการบรรเทาสาธารณภัยในภูมิภาคได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ นอกจากนี้การฝึกดังกล่าวยังมีบทบาทสำคัญในการเสริมสร้างความร่วมมือด้านความมั่นคงในภูมิภาคอินโด-แปซิฟิก คงไว้ซึ่งการรักษาสันติภาพและเสถียรภาพในภูมิภาคให้มั่นคงสืบไป
Cobra Gold 2026 Combined/Joint Exercise Opening Ceremony
On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 09:00 a.m., Chief of Defence Forces General Ukris Boontanondha, U.S. Ambassador to Thailand Sean K. O’Neill, and LTG Matthew McFarlane, Commanding General of America’s First Corps presided over Cobra Gold 2026 Combined/Joint Exercise Opening Ceremony at U-Tapao Royal Thai Airfield, Royal Thai Naval Air Division, Royal Thai Fleet in Rayong province. Also attending the ceremony were Ambassador Singapore to Thailand, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of Indonesia to Thailand, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Thailand, Ambassador of Japan to Thailand, and Ambassador of Malaysia to Thailand.
Cobra Gold is a multilateral combined/joint exercise between the Royal Thai Armed Forces, the U.S. Armed Forces, and partner militaries. This year marks the 45th iteration (Heavy Year), making it one of the longest-running exercises in Southeast Asia. The Royal Thai Armed Forces and U.S. Indo-Pacific Command co-host the exercise annually in Thailand. There are seven countries participating in the main exercises: Thailand, the United States, Singapore, Indonesia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and Malaysia. Three additional participating countries are China, India, and Australia. The Multinational Planning Augmentation Team (MPAT) group, which rotates participation, includes ten countries : Bangladesh, Canada, Fiji, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Mongolia, Nepal, New Zealand, and the Philippines. Ten countries will join as part of the Combined Observer Liaison Team (C**T): Brunei, Germany, Jordan, Laos, the Netherlands, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sweden, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam. In total, 30 countries and over 8,000 personnel will participate in the exercise which aims
to strengthen relationships among participating nations. The main exercise takes place from February 23 to March 6, 2026.
This year’s exercise will cover Combined Joint All Domain Operations (CJADO), integrating
the Command Post Exercise (CPX) with the Field Training Exercise (FTX) through the Operations Center (OC). Operations are all domains, including land, sea, air, and space, and continues to emphasize space and cyber domains. Additional are geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) analysis, signals intelligence (SIGINT) tactical operations, and Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR). In addition, the Royal Thai Navy developed its joint training capabilities to make them more comprehensive, marking an important step in enhancing national defense capabilities and strengthening regional security cooperation.
One of the important activities in the exercise is the Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Demonstration (HADR DEMO), which aims to strengthen the capabilities of multinational forces to respond to disasters quickly and efficiently. This demonstration includes the participation of the K9 USAR Thailand’s Search and Rescue Dog teams, along with Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya’s dog, MI6. This represents Her Royal Highness’ overflowing grace in supporting missions to develop Thailand’s disaster relief capabilities in a concrete manner. It also reflects the strong cooperation between civil society, special task forces, and the military forces in preparing disaster response both domestically and internationally.
Cobra Gold enhances the military capabilities of Thai and partner nation forces to effectively respond to a full spectrum of threats, while also strengthening the region’s disaster response and management capacity. The exercise plays a vital role in advancing security cooperation across the Indo-Pacific and in promoting peace and stability throughout the region.
