Cambodia Violates Ceasefire, Thailand Responds to Provocations
Cambodia has violated the ceasefire agreement, with disturbances and armed attacks reported in several areas. Thailand has responded accordingly.
The ceasefire took effect at midnight on July 28, 2025, aimed at fostering an atmosphere of peace, reducing tensions, and promoting cooperation between the neighboring countries.
Following the agreement, Thailand strictly adhered to its terms. However, Cambodian soldiers reportedly disregarded the agreement, continuing to fire despite negotiations and encroaching on Thai territory in multiple incidents throughout the night and into the morning.
Disturbances and supporting gunfire from Cambodian forces were observed in several Thai areas, including Chong Bok, Chong An Ma, Sam Tae, Ta Khwai Castle, and Phu Makheua. Thai forces responded to the situation using frontline personnel and supporting fire to halt Cambodia's actions.
Thailand will need to implement appropriate retaliatory measures under its legitimate right to self-defense. Thailand asserts that it is not using military force for aggression, but rather to prevent incursions and preserve national sovereignty under international law.
กัมพูชาละเมิดข้อตกลงหยุดยิง พบการก่อกวนและการใช้อาวุธโจมตีเข้ามาในหลายพื้นที่ ฝ่ายไทยตอบโต้กลับตามสถานการณ์
การตกลงหยุดยิงมีผลบังคับใช้ตั้งแต่เวลา 24.00 น. ของวันที่ 28 กรกฎาคม 2568 เพื่อเปิดโอกาสให้เกิดบรรยากาศแห่งความสงบ ลดความตึงเครียด และส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศเพื่อนบ้าน
หลังจากนั้นฝ่ายไทยได้ปฏิบัติตามข้อตกลงหยุดยิงอย่างเคร่งครัด แต่ปรากฏว่าทหารของฝ่ายกัมพูชาไม่ยอมทำตามข้อตกลง ยังคงยิงโดยไม่สนการเจรจา และบุกรุกเข้ามายังฝั่งไทยในหลายเหตุการณ์ตลอดคืนจนถึงช่วงเช้า
โดยพบการก่อกวนและใช้อาวุธยิงสนับสนุนเข้ามาในพื้นที่ฝ่ายไทย ในหลายพื้นที่ ได้แก่ พื้นที่ช่องบก, พื้นที่ช่องอานม้า, พื้นที่ซำแต, พื้นที่ปราสาทตาควาย และพื้นที่ภูมะเขือ ซึ่งฝ่ายไทยได้ตอบโต้ตามสถานการณ์ โดยใช้กำลังในแนวหน้าและอาวุธยิงสนับสนุน เพื่อยับยั้งการปฏิบัติดังกล่าวของฝ่ายกัมพูชา
ฝ่ายไทยจำเป็นจะต้องใช้มาตรการโต้กลับอย่างเหมาะสม ภายใต้สิทธิอันชอบธรรมในการป้องกันตนเอง ยืนยันฝ่ายไทยไม่ได้ใช้กำลังทหารเพื่อรุกราน แต่เพื่อป้องกันการรุกล้ำและรักษาอธิปไตยของชาติ ภายใต้กฎกติกาสากล
