Night Sky of March is Magical
🪐 Mar 1-2: Grand Planetary Parade (Alignment of 6 Planets)
Where: Global (Evening Sky). Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus, and Neptune will align. Mercury, Venus, Saturn, and Jupiter will be visible to the naked eye.
🔴 Mar 3: Blood Moon Eclipse (Total Lunar Eclipse)
Where: Totality is visible from eastern Asia, Australia, the Pacific, North America, and Central America.
🪐 Mar 7–8: Venus-Saturn-Neptune Conjunction
Where: Global (Visible low on the western horizon shortly after sunset). Venus will pass very close to Neptune on March 7 and Saturn on March 8.
✨ Mar 10: Moon Meets Antares (Lunar Occultation)
Where: A close approach is visible globally, while the actual occultation (the Moon passing in front of the star) is visible from Antarctica and parts of the Indian Ocean, like Madagascar and Mauritius.
☄️ Mar 14–15: Gamma Normids Meteor Shower (Peak)
Where: Best in the Southern Hemisphere. This is a weak meteor shower, but visibility will be aided by darker skies from a waning crescent Moon.
🌗 Mar 20: Spring Equinox (March Equinox)
Where: Global (Marks the first day of astronomical spring in the Northern Hemisphere and autumn in the Southern Hemisphere).
