I’m wanting blue I mean really blue eggs. I understand the Ameraucana. Research says if I buy from a hatchery I’m not going to get that beautiful blue. Would be washed out. I’m in WV found a small farm that breeds in IL but have to buy straight run. What are my options for getting a really true blue egg.

I wasn’t planning to keep this vase, it was just one of those random finds at a church sale, dusty and forgotten. But the shape reminded me of the ones my mom always had on our dining table, filled with wildflowers I picked from the yard. She’d smile like they were roses. That memory hit me in the middle of the sale, and I almost cried right there.

I didn’t touch the vase for weeks, but last Sunday, after a rough day, I decided to work on something with my hands. I grabbed some mirrored strips and crystals I’d gotten from a shop on the Tedooo app (yes, I sell there too, but mostly I end up buying, lol). The idea wasn’t clear at first, but I just started sticking and layering, trusting it would come together.

And it did.

Now the vase sparkles on my windowsill, catching the light in the afternoon. Every time I see it, I’m reminded of my mom’s smile and how she found beauty in the smallest things. I know this isn't the prettiest thing, but it's not for any customer, it's just meant to make me feel close to mom again.
