Chef Bond from Nantei Yakitori BKK with over 15 years of grilling experience
A story of becoming a Yakitori chef – Chef Bond - was originally born in Ang Thong, 90-min away from Bangkok. He has been passionate about grilling since he was young. Growing up in the family-owned seafood grill restaurant in Phuket, he started learning how to cook by helping his family. Chef Bond then realized his dream to become one of the best grill masters in Thailand. After coming back from Sweden, he was trained by a multitude of European and Japanese accomplished chefs Phuket and Bangkok for the past 15 years. At age 31, he discovered Japanese culture and his wife including various type of Japanese grills. Chef Bond fell in love with Binchotan charcoal and its special character – making the outside of the meat crispy without drying it out. To master the charcoal grill, he worked at renowned Japanese Yakitori, Yakiniku and Sushi restaurant before joining Nantei Yakitori. Chef Bond is Nantei Yakitori’s head chef leading the concept of kushiyaki and yakitori.
