In the face of military aggression by Thailand against Cambodian territory, Cambodia’s leadership—together with its ministries and institutions as the backbone of the state, and the Cambodian people as a whole—has mobilized every effort in strength, resolve, intellect, and spirit to defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity, while simultaneously addressing the hardships faced by affected communities.
Cambodia remains firmly committed to pursuing its core objectives: ending the suffering of its people, preventing further destruction, and continuing along the path toward peace, a just settlement, and lasting stability. At the same time, Cambodia will not make any concessions on its sovereignty or national dignity.
With regard to territorial integrity, Samdech Thipadei has made it unequivocally clear that the international border between Cambodia and Thailand is determined by existing treaties and conventions. Cambodia fully retains its sovereign right to resolve this border issue with the Thai side in accordance with international law, relevant treaties and conventions, and established bilateral mechanisms.
