It is important to follow the rule of law in any community

REMINDER: THE FIRST OPEN LETTER ON THE ACHALAGU NTEJE MATTER

On 8th June 2026, I published my first open letter to the President General of Nteje, Mr. Dennis Osoluchukwu Nweke, appealing for leadership founded on justice, fairness, peace, and respect for the rule of law.

In that letter, I urged that anyone invited by the Nigeria Police should cooperate fully with lawful investigations and that no one should interfere with or obstruct the course of justice.

I also highlighted concerns and allegations raised by some members of the Achalagu community regarding intimidation, attacks, destruction of property, and other incidents that, in my view, deserved impartial investigation by the appropriate authorities.

I further called on the PG to refrain from any action that could interfere with police investigations or court proceedings and to allow due process to take its full course.

Today, I remind the people of Nteje that my position remains unchanged: peace cannot be built without justice, accountability, and respect for the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

As responsible citizens, we must continue to support lawful processes and reject violence, intimidation, and any action that undermines unity in our community.
