Doch Berlin lebte in einer schwierigen Zeit voller Wirtschaftskrisen, politischer Spannungen und großer sozialer Veränderungen. Trotzdem wurde die Stadt zu einem der faszinierendsten kulturellen Zentren Europas.

After World War I, the city was not physically destroyed as it would be after World War II. But it was living through a difficult period, marked by economic crisis, political tension, and major social change. Even so, Berlin became one of the most intense and fascinating cultural centers in Europe.

On August 1, 1944, the Polish resistance rose against the German occupation of Warsaw. For 63 days, poorly armed fighters and civilians defended their city, hoping to liberate it before the Soviet advance. The uprising ended in defeat and the destruction of Warsaw, but it became an enduring symbol of courage, sacrifice and the struggle for freedom.

Przez 63 dni słabo uzbrojeni powstańcy i mieszkańcy bronili swojego miasta, licząc na wyzwolenie go przed nadejściem Armii Czerwonej. Powstanie zakończyło się klęską i zniszczeniem Warszawy, lecz stało się trwałym symbolem odwagi, poświęcenia i walki o wolność.
