The connection of Beethoven and Prokofiev through the centuries are explored in this concert featuring award winning Kazakh pianist Amir Tebenikhin performing Prokofiev’s most popular and acclaimed piano work, the Concerto No. 3 in C Major. The concerto will be paired with the music of Beethoven, one of Prokofiev’s strongest influences, as Chief Conductor Gudni Emilsson and the TPO perform Beethoven’s Symphony No. 1 in C Major.
