Hi hi question do we like voiceover cooking? Or chit chat cooking? Or no talking cooking??? Anways!! Sticky rice shu mai!! One of my favorites!! Honestly so easy to make!!! Soak the sticky rice overnight to ensure it is evenly cooked and has a fluffy texture. Rehydrated shiitake mushrooms are a must and give the filling such a great umami flavor along with the soy sauce, oyster sauce, etc.
Disclaimer did not create this type of dumpling it originated from Shanghai, I just have ordered it from there that’s why they are used as a reference!! Now instead of getting 5 pieces for $13 at Din Tai Fung you can make over 50 pieces at home ;)
