PAINTBALL STARTS RIGHT HERE! is the SPS’ slogan for 2013. In this awareness campaign, we want to introduce a few unique individuals to the paintball community; these are the people who have contributed in their own unique ways in promoting and developing the paintball scene in Singapore. These individuals can be someone whom you have met on the street or he can be your co-worker who have been working with you under the same office building for years but never got a chance to speak to one another or he can be your annoying classmate who is always pulling your pony tail or even your neighbour’s son who is always rushing from home on a weekend carrying a very large luggage bag. The point being paintball sport can be played by anyone and everyone from all walks of life. While these individuals play a unique role in the society, they all share the same common interest when donning a paintball goggle. Paintball sport is new in Singapore but if everyone takes an effort to promote and develop this game and introduce this sport to the next person who you will be speaking to, the sport of paintball will eventually shine in Singapore. Today, we bring you 10 unique individuals who have contributed and made that difference in influencing others to participate in the sport we all love.

Coverage of the recent Arena Moscow Girls Cup on television. Kudos to Ekaterina Minaeva of Headshot Paintball and Life magazine for a successful event, and for the great push for female paintballers around the world... from 3 teams to 12! Congratulations to all winning teams.

With Russia celebrating Women's Day, a group of female paintballers swapped their flowers for guns as they took part in an indoor competition in Moscow.

The latest results for WPPL - World Paintball Players League. We have to say the WTF - Werd Training Facility in Puchong where most legs will be held, has got its tagline "one of the most 'upgraded' field in Malaysia with the most minor details looked into" pretty much down pat... turf fields, clean air-conditioned toilets, turf walkways, convenient sinks and water supplies, lots of parking, and cute cats. They've even promised night lights by the end of the year... which will be fantastic. Kudos to the field operators.

UPDATE: To all those who have been wondering, we're sorry to say the magazine will be on hold until at least 2013. We're a self-funded business venture, and 2011-2012 was a very steep learning curve, one which resulted in a lot of personal losses.

We're exploring the idea of bringing the magazine back in a lighter form, one that's more sustainable, but we need to right the ship before we can sail it in a new direction.

Thank you all for your support all this while, and we hope to see you in 2013.

Our best thoughts and wishes to all those who were affected by the wildfire in Colorado Springs. We hope it's contained soon, and you'll all get through it safe and sound.

The wildfire near Colorado Springs is the most destructive in state history, leaving 346 destroyed houses in its wake and threatening heavily populated areas, including the U.S. Air Force Academy.
