DZ returns to More Rice with three originals and a remix.
Metalwork. Drywork. Woodwork. The titles tell you what these are. Tracks built for the work. Loopy and driving, with space left open to be filled. Room to be creative and get another record on top.

That restraint is the point. The tracks sit without demanding attention, doing their job, rewarding the DJ who knows what to do with them.

The sound is industrial. No crisp corners, no polish. Prominent weight in the sub, texture in the grit. Acid surfaces in places.

Then Metalwork gets a second life. The original already leaned toward EBM. Trent pushes it all the way through. Slapping bass, a harder face, the loop turned into a true club hitter.

Chalo - Portals feat. SaoTekNik

More Rice Digital returns with its third release, a collaborative EP from Bangkok producer Chalo and SaoTekNik, head of Super Goods, with remixes from label co-founders Sarayu and DOTT.

Opening track “Grab Them” is a peak-hour cut built around a heavy, long-release kick and driving techno energy. Chopped vocals and layered sound design keep it unpredictable without losing momentum — the kind of track that works as well at sunrise as it does at 3am.

Sarayu’s remix strips it back to essentials: rolling bass, aggression kept in check by dubby space. Functional and physical.

“Strange Brew” leans into its name. Chalo and SaoTekNik build something disorienting from heavy breaks and skewed, hard-to-place elements — a track that works across contexts precisely because it doesn’t commit to one.

DOTT’s remix brings it closer to the floor. Groovier, more accessible, it rounds out the EP with a different entry point into the same material.
