After a six hour delay in Paris (which we used to visit the Musee des Arts Ethniques, Musee du Quai Branly, getting our appropriately-dressed-and-ready-for-the-tropics-selves soaking wet in a wintery drizzle). As a result of the delay by Air Asia, we of course, missed our connecting flight in Kuala Lumpur. Exhausted and sleepless, we straggled into the Lamphu Treehouse Hotel (http://lamphutreehotel.com/) and our fifth floor room sometime around 6:30pm
The reason the fifth floor is important is because, while the hotel is not strictly a "treehouse" it is located on one of Bangkok's many canals and dominates the interior of a large city block. Exhausted, we settled in to watch the sunset listen to the bird chatter from our fifth floor balcony. We then went out for dinner and our first night out.
