I thought I'd share one of my favorite pictures. I just call it " my train pic". It's been on the news twice in Canada. Everyone thinks I'm a great photographer. If you can guess how I caught this pic. You get a slightly ripe banana. *Hint. Look at the train. Where I am. The wind. 🙂 Carol Ann Krimmer has won the slightly ripe banana
*Update. I took it from a moving truck going around 50 mph. We had just crossed the tracks and I saw all the snow drifts over the tracks. I held my hand out the window and held down the photo button. This was one of them. Pure luck. 🙂

I think I am on the verge of an existential crisis. I received this bottle of anti-seize, as a gift, in October 1986. I’ve just come to realize that I’ve almost used up the entire bottle. There is only half of a banana’s width worth of anti-seize left. If I continue to use it, at the current rate, I will run out in the next 4 or 5 years. At that point I will be 72 or 73 years old. Is that too old to purchase a new bottle? If I buy one, would it be OK to put it in my will to make certain my son inherits it? Help me.

We bought a new washing basket recently and I didn't think much of it, apart from maybe wondering why three sides are flat, but one is curved. I assumed it was likely to make it easier to carry.
But the other day when it was in the way on the floor in the utility room, I pushed it in towards the washing machine and was delighted when the curved side slotted in perfectly against the washing machine door. Literally like it was made to measure and was part of the design and something that had come with the washing machine.
The wife wasn't that impressed when I showed her so I thought I'd share it with a more appreciative audience who might be as impressed as I am by this astonishing discovery.

Hey everyone! Hope this is dull enough. It must have been because Facebook automatically declined my poll for not being long enough 🫠
I'm in an argument with my housemate about shower habits so please react to this post accordingly
Heart/care if you dry yourself in the shower
Like if you dry yourself on the bath mat
34F, size 8 and loves proving the housemate wrong 🥰 no banana for scale because I hate those things, but WD40 instead

Update:
Felt I should have added.. I’m in UK . They were M&S organic eggs.
I turned off comments last night as I couldn’t respond to everyone sorry. I’ve added a photo of the egg box to confirm I did not buy double yolk eggs, no need for the one or two unpleasant comments saying I’d turned comments off as I didn’t like being called out that I’d bought double yolkers 🙄.
Long time lurker, first time poster. Making Kedgeree tonight. 5 eggs. What are the chances of getting 5 double yolk eggs from the same box?
Female, old, size 5 wide. No banana for scale as I was too in awe of the eggs.

Ever seen a CLEAR BIC lighter? This is a first for me so maybe not dull enough.
I peeled the plastic patterned wrap off of my BIC lighter and found this gem. Rare find, I'd say!

Today when I brought the kids to the playground I noticed a can of lubricant on the floorboard of my truck from a project earlier. I decided to put it to good use and I can firmly say there isn’t a squeak in the playground and the tire swing has never spun so fast. The rival dads at the park looked down with shame

I looked at a house (mansion really) yesterday that was built in 1910. At first, we weren't sure what these things were. They were mounted near light switches inside the 4 upstairs bedrooms. When I saw there were 2 of them, side by side, on the kitchen wall, I realized they were talking tubes. Of course I made my wife run upstairs to verify. Push the lever to open it and talk into it. The person at the other end can hear you clear as day. There were maid/butler quarters in the house, so I'm sure these were a state-of-the-art means to call down to the kitchen staff to order a late night snack or drink. If (and it's a big IF) we purchase this house, those things are 100% staying through the needed renovations. Probably not dull at all, but fascinating, for sure.

My grandsons won this fish at the local carnival 8 years ago. Until recently, he was in a 20-gallon tank, which was obviously way too small for him as he’s easily the size of your average banana. He’s now been moved to a 60-gallon tank and seems very happy. No, he doesn’t have much decor because he eats everything. Live plants and very large snails have been his victims over the years.
When the fish-procuring grandsons come over they usually don’t acknowledge the fish’s existence, but occasionally they will say, “That fish is still alive?” 🤦‍♀️
I had a friend over recently and she asked what the fish’s name is. Oddly, I had never even thought of naming the gargantuan beasty, even though my dog has a name and about 17 nicknames. 🤷‍♀️
I figured you clever bunch would be a good source of amusing fish names.
Well, hell. After typing all this I’m thinking “Banana” would be a good name. Never mind. 🍌

Dullest thing in my house. Giant, galvanized nut and bolt. Weighs 62 pounds as a unit. Bananas just rot in this house so I don’t buy them. Philips bit for scale.
Head takes a 5-3/8” socket or wrench. It’s 15” over all length and the hole it would go in would be 3-1/4”.
Found in a shed at an estate sale years ago. I had to drag it home. Paid $10 for it.
