OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT OF APGA PRIMARY ELECTION RESULT FOR THE STATE HOUSE

Oyi Local Government Area – Nteje

Today, at the Oyi Local Government Secretariat, Nteje, party members, stakeholders, supporters, and observers gathered to witness the final result of the APGA Primary Election held on the 23rd of May, 2026, for the Anambra State House of Assembly seat.

The contest was between:

Hon. Kosisochukwu Ibemesi (A.K.A. Igiligi Aku)

Hon. Innocent Ojike (A.K.A. Ojican)

After the conclusion of the voting process and official collation of results, the final outcome has been announced.

Based on the result of the primary election, Hon. Kosisochukwu Ibemesi, popularly known as “Igiligi Aku,” emerged victorious.

We congratulate the winner on this achievement and commend all party members and supporters for their participation, peaceful conduct, and commitment to the democratic process.

May this victory bring greater progress, unity, and development to Oyi Local Government Area and Anambra State at large.

To God be all the glory as I celebrate another beautiful year of life today. My heart is filled with gratitude for His endless mercy, protection, favor, and guidance throughout my journey.

On this special day, I sincerely thank all my family members, friends, and well-wishers for your love, kindness, prayers, support, and encouragement. Your presence in my life has been a great blessing, and I do not take it for granted.

Life’s journey has come with its own challenges and victories, but through it all, God has remained faithful and has surrounded me with wonderful people who continue to inspire and strengthen me. Every call, message, prayer, and act of kindness means so much to me.

As I step into a new chapter of my life, I pray that God Almighty will continue to bless, protect, uplift, and reward each and every one of you abundantly. May joy, peace, good health, and success never depart from your homes.

To God be all the glory as I celebrate another year of life today. I thank Him immensely for His grace, protection, mercy, and countless blessings upon my life and family.

I also remember with gratitude the late Catholic priest, Fr. Ajakor, who baptised me into the Christian faith. May his gentle soul continue to rest in perfect peace.

As I continue this journey through life, my story is partly reflected in the song from Mili Egwu na Nteje — a reminder of grace, purpose, resilience, and God’s abiding presence through every season of life.

I remain sincerely grateful to Ndi Egbengwu Obalora for their nurture, kindness, and support toward me over the years. Your goodwill remains deeply appreciated.

To all Nteje sons and daughters who believe in justice, fairness, peace, and the progress of our community, may God grant us the desires of our hearts so that our town will be blessed and our children flourish in unity and prosperity.

Tribute to Rev. Fr. Joseph Ajakor

All the Anataogu Age Grade and the entire Nteje Catholic community thank God for a life well spent in the service of God and humanity by Rev. Fr. Joseph Ajakor, who was posted as Parish Priest to Sacred Heart Catholic Church Nteje after the Biafran War.

He was the priest who baptized many of those born after the war, notably members of the Anataogu Age Grade. At a very difficult period in the history of Nteje, he helped the community navigate the painful aftermath of the war with faith, courage, and compassion.

The history of today’s Sacred Heart Nteje cannot be told without recognizing his foundational contributions. Through his dedication, pastoral care, and commitment to the growth of the Church, he helped strengthen and build the Catholic faith in Nteje.

May his gentle soul rest in the bosom of the Lord, and may his legacy of faith, service, and sacrifice continue to inspire generations to come. Amen.
