Once regarded simply as sheets of plastic for blocking sunlight, ‘roller blinds’ have since evolved into a considered element of architectural and interior design, addressing aesthetics, color harmony, and safety. With the support of modern innovations, these blinds now offer both visual refinement and improved quality of life. At the same time, they open new possibilities for designers and end users to select solutions that respond more precisely to individual needs.
Sirichai Rittiphanyawong, founder of BIW Products, shares his insight on the potential of roller blinds, “we envision roller blinds transcending their conventional indoor usage, becoming versatile outdoor elements and flexible substitutes for walls. Motor-driven functionality enables convenient adjustments, significantly reducing reliance on fixed structures. จากมุมมองของคุณธนกร เสถียรวงศ์นุษา สถาปนิกที่มีความสนใจเรื่องดีไซน์ของศาลพระภูมิในบริบทของอาคารสมัยใหม่มาโดยตลอด เขาได้สานต่อแนวคิดนี้ผ่านแบรนด์ มหาศาล ศาลโมเดิร์นที่อยากทำให้ดีไซน์ของศาลพระภูมิมีทางเลือกที่มากขึ้น ตั้งอยู่ในสภาพบริบทแวดล้อมของเมืองได้ดีขึ้น และสามารถวางคู่กับงานออกแบบสถาปัตยกรรมหน้างานที่ไปในทิศทางเดียวกัน ด้วยการพยายามหาจุดตรงกลางระหว่างขนบประเพณีเดิมกับงานดีไซน์ใหม่ให้อยู่ร่วมกันได้อย่างดี

From the perspective of architect Thanakorn Satienwongnusa, who has been thinking about the design of spirit houses from a new generation’s perspective. He has pursued it through his brand, Mahasan. Mahasan specializes in modern spirit houses, trying to improve their design, making them more attuned to their surrounding environments while enhancing the architectural character of their spaces.
Geometric forms were chosen as the foundation for the spirit house design, offering a sense of simplicity, modernity, and ease of placement, especially in limited spaces. Paired with the use of contemporary materials known for their strength and durability, the overall result is a spirit house that harmonizes seamlessly with modern architectural surroundings.

Thailand Pavilion - Expo 2025

เวิลด์เอ็กซ์โป จัดขึ้นด้วยจุดมุ่งหมายให้เกิดการแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้ ความร่วมมือ และการแสดงศักยภาพของประเทศต่าง ๆ โดยในปีล่าสุดนี้ได้จัดขึ้นที่ประเทศญี่ปุ่น บนเกาะยุเมะชิมะ จังหวัดโอซากะ ซึ่งพาวิลเลียนจากประเทศไทย ออกแบบโดยบริษัท สถาปนิก 49 จำกัด จากโจทย์ว่าด้วยการสร้างสถาปัตยกรรมที่บอกเรื่องราวของประเทศไทยเป็นศูนย์กลางด้านสุขภาพด้วยคำว่า ‘ภูมิพิมาน’
เช่นเดียวกับทุกครั้งที่พาวิลเลียนเน้นการตีความตามแต่ผู้ออกแบบ อีกทั้งด้วยข้อจำกัดของพื้นที่ที่มีหน้าแคบ สถาปนิกจึงเลือกใช้วิธีการลวงตาด้วยการใช้ผืนกระจกสะท้อนหลังคาจั่วครึ่งเดียว ให้ดูเป็นหลังคาจั่วด้านสกัดแบบเต็ม พร้อมด้วยการย่อมุมเพื่อลดทอนสัดส่วน รวมถึงใช้วิธีการติดตั้งหลังคาเหล็กรีดลอนให้ล้อไปกับความสูงของแต่ละส่วน ช่วยให้เกิดความเคลื่อนไหวจากมุมมองต่างๆ และทำให้อาคารดูเล็กลงได้

The World Expo aims to promote knowledge exchange, collaboration, and showcase national potential. The latest edition took place in Japan on Yumeshima Island, Osaka. Thailand’s pavilion, designed by Architects 49 Limited, reflected the country’s identity as a global health hub under the theme “Bhumi Vimana.”
Due to the narrow site, the architects used visual illusions—mirroring a half-gabled roof with reflective glass to appear as a full gable. They softened the proportions by beveling corners and used corrugated metal roofing in varying heights to create dynamic visual movement and reduce the perceived scale of the building.

CO Temporary Architects

CO Temporary Architects สตูดิโอรุ่นใหม่โดยสองผู้ร่วมก่อตั้ง อิทธิฤทธิ์ หทัยรัตนา และ พิเศษ อิศรางกูร ณ อยุธยา ที่เริ่มมีผลงานปรากฏทั้งในประเทศรวมถึงเวียดนาม จากการทำงานร่วมกันกับเจ้าของโครงการคนไทยและต่างชาติ ครอบคลุมรูปแบบอาคารหลากหลายประเภท และพร้อมสนุกกับโอกาสใหม่ ๆ ที่เข้ามาตลอดเวลา
“เรื่องความเหมือนและต่างกันระหว่างที่ไทยและเวียดนาม คือเรื่องงานระบบอาคารและกฎหมายควบคุมอาคารต่าง ๆ ที่เป็นข้อจำกัดใหม่ ๆ ในงานดีไซน์ ซึ่งมีพวกเราต้องทำการแก้ไขแบบภายหลังบางส่วนเพราะเราพลาดข้อมูลทางกฎหมายไปด้วย อันนี้น่าจะเป็นบทเรียนสำคัญที่สุดในการทำงานต่างประเทศ”

CO Temporary Architects is a young studio founded by Itirit Hatairatana and Pises Isarangkool Na Ayutthaya. Their work has begun to gain visibility both in Thailand and Vietnam through collaborations with both local and international clients. Their portfolio spans a wide range of building types, and they are always ready to embrace new opportunities with enthusiasm.
“The similarities and differences between working in Thailand and Vietnam mainly lie in building systems and regulatory codes, which present new constraints in design. In our case, we had to revise some parts of the design afterward because we missed certain legal information. This has probably been the most important lesson we've learned from working on an international project.”

The Corner House

โครงการ The Corner House โครงการพัฒนาศูนย์การค้าแบบกึ่งเปิดโล่งแห่งใหม่ ตั้งอยู่ใน San Juan ย่านเมืองประวัติศาสตร์ใจกลางกรุงมะนิลา ประเทศฟิลิปปินส์ ซึ่งออกแบบโดย Department of Architecture บริษัทสถาปนิกสัญชาติไทย ที่เข้าไปมีส่วนร่วมสำคัญในการพัฒนาอาคารศูนย์การค้าในรูปแบบใหม่
แม้ต้องเผชิญกับเงื่อนไขและความท้าทายที่แตกต่างทั้งในด้านกฎหมาย กายภาพ ภูมิอากาศ วัฒนธรรม และข้อจำกัดทางเทคนิคการก่อสร้าง แต่โครงการ The Corner House ยังสามารถถ่ายทอดปรัชญาการออกแบบที่เหมาะสมกับสภาพภูมิอากาศเขตร้อนชื้นได้อย่างลงตัว สะท้อนถึงศักยภาพของสถาปนิกไทยในเวทีสากล

The Corner House is a new semi-open-air retail center development located in San Juan, a historic district in the heart of Manila, Philippines. It was designed by Department of Architecture, a Thai architectural firm that played a key role in shaping this new approach to retail architecture.
Despite the complexities of working across borders—with variations in regulations, site conditions, climate, cultural contexts, and technical construction constraints—The Corner House successfully embodies a design philosophy tailored to the realities of the tropical climate and highlights the capability of Thai architects on the international stage.

Warships Pavilion

กลับมาติดตามการเดินทางของผู้ชนะการประกวด BlueScope Steel Architectural Awards ASEAN 2024 ที่สมาคมสถาปนิกสยาม ในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์เป็นหนึ่งในพันธมิตรของงานครั้งนี้ ผู้ชนะการประกวดจะได้รับโอกาสเดินทางไปออสเตรเลีย และได้รับการพาชมสถาปัตยกรรมชั้นนำจาก fjcstudio และ COX Architecture
หนึ่งในจุดหมายสำคัญของทริปนี้คือ Warships Pavilion ที่ตั้งอยู่ในพื้นที่พิพิธภัณฑ์ Australian National Maritime Museum ใจกลางนครซิดนีย์ ซึ่งออกแบบโดย fjcstudio ให้มีความพลิ้วไหวเสมือนเรือลอยอยู่บนผิวน้ำ ด้วยการใช้แผ่นเหล็กเคลือบและวัสดุคอมโพสิต ผลิตสำเร็จรูปจากโรงงานด้วยความแม่นยำสูง พร้อมด้วยคุณสมบัติทนทานต่อการกัดกร่อนและให้ประสิทธิภาพด้านอุณหภูมิได้เป็นอย่างดี

Follow the journey of the winners of the BlueScope Steel Architectural Awards ASEAN 2024, with the Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage (ASA) as one of the event’s key partners. As part of their prize, the winners were given the opportunity to travel to Australia and explore landmark architectural projects by leading firms such as fjcstudio and COX Architecture.
One of the highlights of this trip was a visit to the Warships Pavilion at the Australian National Maritime Museum, located in the heart of Sydney. Designed by fjcstudio, the building evokes the graceful movement of a ship gliding across the water. Its structure features coated steel panels and composite materials that were precisely prefabricated off-site, offering exceptional corrosion resistance and excellent thermal performance.

Phnom Pehn House

บ้านพักอาศัยรูปแบบโมเดิร์นสี่ชั้นที่โดดเด่นด้วยจังหวะ เส้นสาย และแนวกำแพงคู่สีดินกระเบื้องเทอราคอตต้า ผสานให้ Phnom Penh House กลมกลืนท่ามกลางทัศนียภาพเมืองพนมเปญ ประเทศกัมพูชาได้อย่างน่าสนใจ อันเป็นผลงานออกแบบของเอกภาพ ดวงแก้ว สถาปนิกผู้ก่อตั้งออฟฟิศออกแบบสถาปัตยกรรม EKAR
บ้านขนาดใหญ่กับพื้นที่ใช้สอย 2,800 ตารางเมตร บนที่ดิน 300 ตารางวางถูกออกแบบอ้างอิงตรงตามหลักฮวงจุ้ยที่เจ้าของโครงการกำหนดมาให้ พร้อมไปกับการเลือกใช้วัสดุกระเบื้องดินเผาที่บ่งบอกตัวตนของผู้อยู่อาศัยจากต่างถิ่น และไม่ลืมที่จะเย้าหยอกกับปราสาทหินโบราณอันเป็นอัตลักษณ์สำคัญของพื้นที่ ด้วยการเสริมลูกเล่นติดตั้งกรอบฐานย่อมุมสร้างพลวัตให้กับพื้นผิวของอาคาร

A striking four-story modern residence, Phnom Penh House, plays with rhythm and weight, lines, and a pair of terracotta walls. These design elements allow Phnom Penh House, conceived by Ekaphap Duangkaew, founder of EKAR, to interestingly and seamlessly integrate into the urban landscape of Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
With 2,800 square meters of usable space on a 300-square-wah plot, this sizable residence is meticulously designed in alignment with the principles of Feng Shui, as specified by the client. Terracotta tiles, selected as a nod to the owner's cultural roots, establish a tactile connection to the site. The design references the region's ancient stone temples through recessed corner details, which introduce a sense of rhythm and depth to the building's surfaces.

Simple Art Museum

เหอเฟย เป็นเมืองหลวงของมณฑลอานฮุย ตั้งอยู่ทางประเทศจีนตอนกลาง นอกจากเหอเฟยเป็นเมืองท่องเที่ยวทางประวัติศาสตร์แล้ว ก็ยังมีย่านเมืองพัฒนาใหม่ที่กลายเป็นที่นิยมสำหรับการท่องเที่ยว โดยเป็นส่วนที่กล่าวได้ว่า เริ่มต้นจากพื้นที่ว่างเปล่า และถูกเติมเต็มด้วยตึกระฟ้าและอาคารสมัยใหม่มากมายในปัจจุบัน

Hefei is the capital city of Anhui Province, located in central China. In addition to being a historical tourist destination, Hefei also features newly developed urban districts that have become popular for tourism. These areas, once empty land, have now been filled with skyscrapers and numerous modern buildings.
One of them is a large-scale commercial building housing various imported furniture brands, situated near the Nanfei River—the site of the Simple Art Museum, a contemporary art museum designed by HAS design and research. The project represents an effort to integrate cultural and artistic spaces into commercial zones, while also providing much-needed exhibition space for art in a city where such venues are still rare.

พิธีมอบรางวัล ASA Platform Selected Materials 2025

เมื่อวันพฤหัสบดีที่ 1 พฤษภาคม 2568 เวลา 19.00 น. ทาง ASA Platform ได้จัดพิธีมอบรางวัล ASA Platform Selected Materials 2025 ซึ่งเป็นหนึ่งในกิจกรรมของเวทีกลางในงานสถาปนิก’68 โดยปีนี้มีวัสดุและผลิตภัณฑ์คุณภาพ จาก 14 แบรนด์ผู้ผลิตและนำเข้าผลิตภัณฑ์ชั้นนำ ผ่านการคัดเลือกและได้รับรางวัลในปีนี้
โดยในช่วงพิธีการนั้น ได้รับเกียรติจากคุณอเส สุขยางค์ นายกสมาคมสถาปนิกสยาม ในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์ ขึ้นกล่าวต้อนรับและแสดงความยินดีกับผู้ได้รับรางวัลทั้ง 14 แบรนด์ ทุกท่านสามารถรับชมภาพกิจกรรม รวมถึงรายนามผู้ชนะรางวัล ASA Platform Selected Materials 2025 จากอัลบั้มภาพด้านล่างนี้
สำหรับงานในปีนี้ คณะผู้จัดงานขอขอบคุณผู้เข้าร่วมงานทุกท่านที่ส่งผลงานเข้ามา รวมถึงคณะทำงานจากสมาคมสถาปนิกสยาม ในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์ทุกท่าน ที่ช่วยสนับสนุนให้กิจกรรมในครั้งนี้สำเร็จลุล่วงไปได้ด้วยดี
