Our Indo Thai News team was there to capture it all — including a thoughtful interview with Mrs. Vibeke Lyssand Leirvåg, Chairwoman of the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce in Thailand (JFCCT), who spoke on the evolving landscape of regional business and India-Thailand collaboration.

Watch the full recap for a glimpse into one of Bangkok’s most influential networking nights.

One of the country’s most illustrious beachfront resorts, Banyan Tree Krabi, has extended a helping hand to local artisans to promote high-quality handicrafts and products from the Krabi region and across Thailand.

Guests are welcomed with handmade pouches crafted from upcycled beach waste by “Souvenirs from the Sea”, a local initiative by Ms. Wiyada Kowsanti. Her team transforms discarded materials like fishing nets and sandals into meaningful keepsakes, reflecting both sustainability and local life by the Andaman Sea.

At the Banyan Tree Gallery Krabi, the spotlight is on Thai artisans and community makers. Products range from eco-friendly handbags and handmade jewellery to traditional Lanna leaf bags and handwoven southern Thai textiles. Many items come from women-led and small-scale producers, with pop-up stalls offering direct interaction between guests and creators.

One such artisan is Ms. Rustiya Limtrakul of “Eco Print by Rustiya”, who uses tropical leaves and flowers to create natural-dyed wearable art—capturing Krabi’s natural charm in every piece.

The Thai Jain Association was honored to host a booth at the International Yoga Day celebrations in Bangkok, with the generous support of the India in Thailand (Embassy of India, Bangkok).

The booth aimed to showcase India’s vibrant cultural diversity and emphasize the relevance of Jain principles in today’s world—a world often marked by conflict, materialism, and unchecked capitalism.

Jainism is not merely a religion; it is a way of life rooted in non-violence, compassion, and harmony with nature. These values offer a timeless path toward inner peace and sustainable living.

Our Story

Founded in May 2018 by Mr. Pawan Mishra, Businessman & philanthropist, based in Bangkok, Thailand, Indo Thai News has been conceived with an aim of fostering Travel & Tourism between the two amazing countries, India & Thailand.

We have been covering events and festivals that take place in either of the countries for some time now. The social media pages of Indo Thai News have helped travelers find relevant and useful info while traveling the two countries, through the numerous articles and posts.

To supplement the already existing media, we made a foray into the print media and launched our youngest member to the Indo Thai News house; the ‘IndoThai Lifestyle’ magazine. The Magazine is published in English & Thai Languages and focuses upon the following genres: Travel & Tourism, Food & Wellness, Religion & Culture, News & Events.

Soft/Digital Copy of the edition is available on Indo Thai News website & Mobile Application (Android + iOS) for global outreach.
