เมื่อกล้องถ่ายภาพเป็นเครื่องมือในการ “รายงาน” จากแนวหน้า ช่างภาพทำหน้าบันทึกและถ่ายทอดเรื่องราวของผู้คน ธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม ในห้วงเวลาที่เปราะบางและเต็มไปด้วยการเปลี่ยนผ่าน
ในมิติของการบันทึกภาคสนาม ภาพถ่ายเผยให้เห็นคำถามสำคัญ – ใคร ทำอะไร ที่ไหน อย่างไร? ผ่านสายตาของช่างภาพ ภาพหนึ่งอาจสะท้อนบรรยากาศของชุมชนที่กำลังดิ้นรนกับการเปลี่ยนแปลง อีกภาพคือหลักฐานแสดงให้เห็นธรรมชาติที่เพิ่งถูกกระทบกระเทือน หรือเงื่อนไขใหม่ ๆ ของผู้คนที่ต้องดำรงชีวิตท่ามกลางความเปลี่ยนแปลง ทั้งจากน้ำมือมนุษย์และภัยพิบัติทางธรรมชาติ ภาพถ่ายจึงเปรียบเสมือนพยานแห่งความจริง มากกว่าแค่บันทึกเรื่องราว แต่ยังทำหน้าที่เป็นกระจกสะท้อนให้เห็นผลกระทบ การเพิกเฉยของมนุษย์ต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมได้ทิ้งร่องรอยไว้อย่างชัดเจน
นิทรรศการนี้นำเสนอผลงานจาก สื่ออิสระที่ไม่แสวงหากำไร ทำงานสืบสวนเชิงลึกในไทยและเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ และ Thai News Pix (TNP) สำนักข่าวที่นำเสนอประเด็นข่าวด้วยภาพถ่าย วีดีโอกับมัลติมีเดีย และยังเป็นผู้ให้บริการคลังภาพข่าวกับสื่อต่างๆเชื้อเชิญให้ผู้ชมได้เผชิญหน้ากับความจริง ผ่านสายตาและศรัทธาของช่างภาพผู้เดินทางไปยังแนวหน้าทำหน้าที่บันทึกเรื่องราวด้วยภารกิจสำคัญและศรัทธาอันเต็มเปี่ยม เพื่อปลุกให้เกิดการตระหนักรู้ต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม ชีวิตและอนาคตของเราทุกคน
นิทรรศการ FRONTLINES
FRONTLINES เกิดขึ้นเพื่อตั้งคำถามโต้งๆกลางวง Bangkok Climate Action Week 2025 ว่างานนี้จะช่วยให้เราได้เริ่มหันกลับมามอง ทบทวน ค้นหา และเริ่มลงมือ คิดหาทางแก้ไขปัญหาที่กำลังจ่ออยู่ตรงหน้าเราทุกวันได้จริงหรือไม่? ด้วยเชื่อว่างานวิจัยทางวิทยาศาสตร์ไม่ควรถูกกักไว้ในห้องแล็บบนหอคอยงาช้าง แต่ต้องออกมาเปิดเผยข้อมูลใจกลางเมืองที่รายล้อมไปด้วยห้าง ไปเขียนอยู่บนกำแพงบนพื้นที่สาธารณะ ให้สะกิดใจคนที่ไม่เคยสนใจว่าโลกจะแตกเมื่อไร
หัวใจของโครงการนี้ จึงเป็นการพาคนแปลกหน้าสามกลุ่มที่ปกติไม่เคยกินข้าวโต๊ะเดียวกัน ไม่เคยที่จะเเฮงค์เอ้าท์ด้วยกัน มานั่งข้างๆ กัน ทำความรู้จักกัน เพื่อส่งต่อแนวคิดและสร้างผลงานที่สะท้อนอัตลักษณ์ของกันและกัน นักวิทยาศาสตร์, ศิลปินสตรีท, และ ช่างภาพข่าวและสารคดี
โดยเป้าหมายไม่ใช่แค่เพื่อโชว์ แต่เพื่อกระทุ้งผู้ชมด้วย ข้อมูล สร้างความเข้าใจ ให้ตระหนัก และเริ่มร่วมกันป้องกัน พร้อมตอกย้ำว่า “สัญญาณเล็กๆ” ที่คนส่วนใหญ่มองข้าม แท้จริงแล้วคือหมุดหมายของวิกฤตใหญ่
ทั้งหมดนี้ตั้งอยู่บนความเชื่อว่า เมืองจะก้าวต่อได้ ถ้าเราหนุน “แนวหน้า” ของกันและกัน—นักวิทยาศาสตร์ที่มุ่งมั่นในงานวิจัย ศิลปินที่กล้าที่จะบอกเล่าความเป็นจริงผ่านกำแพงและกระป๋องสี และ ช่างภาพที่พร้อมจะลุยไปทุกที่เพื่อบันทึกหลักฐานสะท้อนความจริง
FRONTLINES จึงไม่ใช่แค่งานนิทรรศการศิลปะที่คนแปลกหน้าจากสามศาสตร์มารวมตัวทำงานร่วมกัน แต่มันคือผลผลิตจากการมาบรรจบกันของ ข้อมูล ข้อเท็จจริง และจินตนาการ ที่พาให้วิทยาศาสตร์ได้หลุดออกจากบีกเกอร์ พาหัวข้อข่าวให้มีมากกว่าการพาดหัว และพาศิลปะลงไปปักหมุดกลางเมืองที่หวังให้หลายคนได้รับรู้ถึงปัญหาและได้ตั้งคำถามว่า จากจุดนี้ เราจะก้าวต่อไปยังไงบนโลกที่กำลังเปลี่ยนไปอย่างรวดเร็วจากฝีมือมนุษย์ (และธรรมชาติ)

Photographers’ Reportage
The camera becomes a tool of “reportage” from the frontline, allowing photographers to record and convey the stories of people, nature, and the environment in moments of fragility and transition.
In field reporting, photographs answer these important questions: Who, What, Where, and How, seen through the eyes of the photographer. One image may capture the atmosphere of a community struggling with changes, another may serve as evidence of disturbed nature or the new living conditions shaped by human hands and natural disasters. These photographs step beyond mere documentation and become evidence of truth. They reflect the consequences of human neglect: intensifying natural disasters, the disappearance of animal habitats, or changing landscapes. These are the costs that humanity collectively bears.
This exhibition presents works from HaRDstories, a non-profit independent media organization conducting in-depth investigative reporting across Thailand and Southeast Asia, and Thai News Pix (TNP), a news agency that delivers stories through photography, video, and multimedia, while also providing a news photo archive for various media outlets.
This exhibition invites us to confront realities through the eyes of photographers who take journeys to the frontline, driven by purpose and conviction, to raise awareness of the future we all must face.
FRONTLINES STATEMENT
FRONTLINES steps into Bangkok Climate Action Week 2025 to ask a blunt question: can this show help us turn around—look hard, rethink, investigate—and then actually act on what’s pressing in front of us.We believe scientific research doesn’t belong locked in a lab on an ivory tower. It needs to be out there, in the city center ringed by malls—painted and printed on public walls—nudging even those who’ve never cared when “the world might end.”
At its heart, this project brings three groups who don’t usually share a table—or hangout—to work together, exchange ways of seeing, and build works that reflect one another’s practices from Scientists, Street artists and Photojournalists and documentary photographers.The goal isn’t to “show off.” It’s to jolt audiences with evidence, build understanding, and spark prevention—while reminding us that the “small signals” most people overlook are, in fact, the milestones of larger crises.
All of this rests on a simple belief: a city moves forward when we back one another’s frontlines—scientists committed to research, artists brave enough to speak truth with paint and concrete, and photographers willing to go anywhere to bring back evidence.
So FRONTLINES isn’t just an art exhibition where three unfamiliar fields collide. It’s what happens when data, facts, and imagination meet: science steps out of the beaker, headlines become more than headlines, and art plants a flag in the middle of the city—so more of us can recognize the problem and ask, from right here, how do we move forward in a world changing this fast—by human hands (and nature’s)?
