It is one of the important episodes in the Ramayana epic.
This song describes the fighting atmosphere of this battle. At the beginning of the song, there is a chaotic atmosphere of warfare. In the middle, a trumpet solo is used to depict Hanuman’s descent into the abyss to steal Rama, before a graceful melody at the end conveys Hanuman’s victory over Maiyarap.

🌕✨ CLAIR DE LUNE

The piece, named after Verlaine’s poem “Clair de lune”, which translates to “moonlight” in French. It is written in a slow 9/8 meter and uses very soft dynamics mostly. The arrangement for wind bands adds more colors to the original piano piece, while the flowing harmonic arpeggios are expressed within the woodwind section. 🤩

"HANUMAN (หนุมาน)" 🌟

The piece is inspired by a character of the Thai epic “Ramakien” (Ramayana), where Hanuman is one of the main characters. A powerful monkey and also the chief of Praram’s army. He is the son of the Wind God and an immortal. For Thai culture, Hanuman is a symbol of smartness, courage, fun and casanova (he has over 5,000 wives).

This march commemorates the first victory of the Austro-Hungarian Armies at Tarnawka-Krasnik in 1914. Another remarkable work by Richard Strauss, “Feierlicher Einzug,” also known as “Fanfare for the Solemn Procession of the Knights of the Order of St. John,” was composed in 1909 for this historic society established in Jerusalem during the First Crusade. Initially written for a brass ensemble, Strauss later adapted it for a full orchestra, making it a highly recommended piece for concert openings. 🌟
