ปิยโปฎกธรรมสถาน Piyapodok Dhammastan is a buddhist temple in Lamphun, Northern Thailand.

On the 25th of October 2021, the congregation travelled to สุโขทัย ("Sukothai", translated as "dawn of happiness") after not leaving their temple in Lamphun for 3 months solid, a typical practice when observing พรรษา, วรรษา "Vassa", a 3 month retreat that can be described as Buddhist Lent.

During the excursion to Sukothai, some buddhist practitioners were ordained as nuns in a ceremony held at วัดศรีชุม (Srichum Temple). Becoming a nun takes dedication and sacrifice. You can truly see the emotion as Kru Ava has her head shaved, with the help of her mother.
