Alright folks, here it is again...for the real music lovers🎧💓🎶 it's my new show on Real Music Radio! I'm using a new method for making podcasts, tweeking it to improve the quality, so please let me know if it sounds good! Thank you 😊🙏

*P.S. I was just telling a friend that I did this one in the style of my late night programs on FM Radio many moons ago ☾𖠦🎶...it starts off kind of slow & pensive then builds and takes off in several different directions through progressive acoustic folk rock, modern rock, soul, electronica, funk, classic & experimental pop {climaxing with a killer remix of a old Bob Dylan anti~war tune!}. Hope you dig it; it was a blast to make, and would like to make more if the response is good 🤟✨

A Happy 85th Birthday to Ringo Starr! Oh, by the by, FYI... Ringo now indulges solely in things that help keep him fit and healthy in both body and mind ~ yoga, meditation, clean living and good eating. He's a strict vegetarian, "I have broccoli with everything and blueberries every morning", describes himself as "a Christian Hindu with Buddhist tendencies" & besides being such an affable easygoing chap is considered one of the greatest drummers ever because of his perfect marriage of musicality, simplicity, and groove. No surprise, he's also the richest drummer in the world with an estimated net worth of $350 million. Well done Mr. Starr or should I say Sir Ringo! Respect, Peace & Love 💓🤩🙏✨

This is a little reminder that on my birthday on Monday 7.7.25, I ask that at noon your local time if you can give peace and love, that is my gift from you, ...

Thanks to Michael Naylor!

Joni Mitchell on monogamy.

“I don’t know if I’ve learned anything yet! I did learn how to have a happy home, but I consider myself fortunate in that regard because I could’ve rolled right by it. Everybody has a superficial side and a deep side, but this culture doesn’t place much value on depth — we don’t have shamans or soothsayers, and depth isn’t encouraged or understood. Surrounded by this shallow, glossy society we develop a shallow side, too, and we become attracted to fluff. That’s reflected in the fact that this culture sets up an addiction to romance based on insecurity — the uncertainty of whether or not you’re truly united with the object of your obsession is the rush people get hooked on. I’ve seen this pattern so much in myself and my friends and some people never get off that line.
But along with developing my superficial side, I always nurtured a deeper longing, so even when I was falling into the trap of that other kind of love, I was hip to what I was doing. I recently read an article in Esquire magazine called ‘The End of Sex,’ that said something that struck me as very true. It said: “If you want endless repetition, see a lot of different people. If you want infinite variety, stay with one.” What happens when you date is you run all your best moves and tell all your best stories — and in a way, that routine is a method for falling in love with yourself over and over.
You can’t do that with a longtime mate because he knows all that old material. With a long relationship, things die then are rekindled, and that shared process of rebirth deepens the love. It’s hard work, though, and a lot of people run at the first sign of trouble. You’re with this person, and suddenly you look like an as***le to them or they look like an as***le to you — it’s unpleasant, but if you can get through it you get closer and you learn a way of loving that’s different from the neurotic love enshrined in movies. It’s warmer and has more padding to it.”

The Show’s Story

Lee’s Real Music Radio is an eclectic blend of music, interviews, news & special features for your ears, heart, body, mind & soul that all got started with "Anything Goes", a live radio program in Bangkok, Thailand that had been running for over 30 years featuring great vintage music from as far back as the 30's right up to current interpretations of classic standards, & hosted by the legendary Jim Davison who at the age of 101 & about to retire (!), asked me to help him carry on with the show. So I'm now doing my own show, featuring an extended, even wider variety of music from many genres and time periods, augmented by historically relevant sound ‘Bytes’ & occasional conversations, which I call ‘InnerViews’, with creative people living or working here in Thailand. This page will feature program links, artist & music~related news & live clips with lots of the timeless music that I and my guests, friends and listeners feel is simply the best!
