In an attempt to escape lockdown in Bangkok, we left the city in search for a new adventure. We just completed a 2 week quarantine and we’re so excited to go outside and greet the blue sky and the warm sun. So excited to get back on the road!

The hardest part of traveling is leaving people and things behind. Always having to say goodbye.
As much as we love our streaming journey, it comes at a price, and over the years the list of what we miss is always getting longer: Stephie, our family, Koh Phangan and our friends, diving...
Today we added one more things to the list as we bid our farewell to Gaviota.

For one year she was our boat, our home; she kept us safe and allowed us to live an amazing adventure while we brought something completely original and exciting to Twitch!

This is not the end of our sailing journey, just the end of the first chapter. We’ll be back soon.
Thank you Gaviota for being the best boat and for taking such good care of us. We wish you many more years at sea and countless adventures with your next owners!

I am feeling so incredibly grateful... for all the love and support I’ve received.

Turning 30 was a little daunting, but so many of you in our Twitch community joined me to celebrate and help me party into my “dirty thirties”. Now I’m feeling excited and confident to start this new decade and have more amazing adventures with the Awkward family!

Waking up this morning felt like Christmas Day. I still can’t believe my eyes; you all went so beyond and sent me so many amazing and incredible gifts and goodies! WOW!

Thank you my love, my dear Gaspard for bringing this together.

Fighting big waves, dropping anchor next to million-dollar yachts, diving with clouds of fish in an underwater garden, paddling to the shore, setting up camp and cooking on the beach while drinking Champagne. No, that’s not the list of everything we did for the past week... just today’s stream ;) !

Sometimes on days you expect things to be simple end up being the most tedious.
What should have been an easy 1 hour navigation to Nice ended up being a 5 hour obstacle course: Dodging large driftwood and other debris still floating at sea post storm Alex, and riding waves bigger than forecasted. All to end the day avoiding two 168 meter ferries entering and leaving Nice harbour.
Floating in the sea waiting for our turn to safely enter Nice Harbour, we patiently wait and appreciate today’s lesson. Be humble, be vigilant!

What trip did you go on that ended up being longer/ more difficult?

Sometimes the best memories are not always the ones you expect from a trip. Sometimes it’s the little quirky places, that one meal you ate.
After our month sailing and travelling Italy we have made many memories and seen many amazing things. One unexpected place we will definitely miss is , a bar just off the pier in Imperia. You’d never guess that it was Pokémon themed... the food and cocktails, BEYOND delicious. is a talented bar tender!!

Is sailing easy? No, not really. It takes time to get good at it and sometimes you can feel a bit... overwhelmed.

100 days... since we left the pier of Canet and started our journey.
100 days on the sea... a bit more actually.

When we started our journey people kept telling us that it was impossible, that you couldn’t start sailing without a proper training, without years of study, that sailing wasn’t something you could learn by yourself.

And 100 days have passed and we proved otherwise. We’re still beginners, of course, but we’re sailing, we’re living our adventure... one day at the time.

Truth is, most people will tell you that things are impossible because they feel incapable of doing it themselves - or because they feel that your success would make their own accomplishments less impressive...

The best advice we can give you: Get out there...do your thing! Will it always work? No, but if it doesn’t it will be on your own terms. And there’s no failure as long as we keep trying!

For now we’re heading back to France and as we’re looking west we can’t stop smiling while thinking about all the places we’ll visit along the way!

What’s the biggest challenge you’ve ever overcome?

Alex is on us. 100km+ wind, giant waves crashing on the pier’s jetty and Gaviota furiously bouncing around her spot like an impatient horse.
We can’t wait for this to pass : it’s so hard to produce any sort of content when you’re stuck in a small place, and going outside means fighting crazy gusts of wind and rain.
But... it won’t last forever and we’re still quite confident that we’ll be able to continue our journey this winter. Even if it means hiding from monster storms once in a while.
