🎉 One Year of "Tales of the Sonic Loom" 🎉

Today marks one year since the release of Tales of the Sonic Loom, a compilation that holds a special place in the Sonic Loom journey.

The concept was born from the ancient art of weaving practiced by our foremothers. Generations later, we founded Sonic Loom with the vision of reviving that creative spirit through sound. Inspired by the rhythm of the working loom, the endless possibilities of patterns, textures, and colors, we set out to weave music instead of thread.

Released on June 5th, 2025, Tales of the Sonic Loom brought together label artists and special guests in a vibrant tapestry of psychedelic sound. Through intricate arrangements, diverse timbres, and a broad spectrum of psy-trance tempos, each track became a thread in a larger sonic fabric.

One year later, we are grateful to every artist, listener, supporter, and friend who became part of this story. Your energy continues to give life to the Loom and inspires us to keep weaving new tales.

Muscaria EP "Oneiric Illusion "

The mastermind behind "Muscaria" is Thomas Wiesinger, located in Austria.
Introduced to the Psychodelic music scene in 2000, he started djing in 2004.
After paricipating many parties, he began to make his own sound in 2006.
He describes his sound as expermintal psychedelic sound, using many differnent hardware synth´s,
taking a lot of insperation from oldschool sounds of the early 90´s.

Over the years, Muscaria has maintained a strong connection with the Sonic Loom universe through various appearances and collaborations and naturally joined the team as a label artist.
His first appearance in the label was back in 2013 with the remix of “Yara – Calling The Spirit” on V.A. Immaterial World (2013). Then he collaborates with Antonymous for "The lost souls of the future past" at VA Alchemic Recipe"
Earlier contributions include the “ Jangaramongara Tet – Proud (Muscaria Remix)” featured on the compilation V.A. Up Psy Down (2017), in 2020 he participates in VA Time Deconstruction with another collaboration Muscaria & OranMor - C’anthar-an t’hak.
In 2021 was the time for his personal EP Sonic Shrooms, the same year drops another collaboration at VA Collective Intelligence, Muscaria & Malice In Wonderland - Black Lotus.
In our 12 years anniversary VA release he launches his new born project Distinct Instinct with DarkElf .
More recently, Muscaria returned to the label’s evolving psychedelic tapestry with the track “DroneParTiqule” featured on the Tales of the Sonic Loom compilation alongside several established Sonic Loom artists and collaborators.

With each release, Muscaria continues to refine a sound rooted in psychedelic depth, atmospheric precision, and dancefloor energy — balancing forest-influenced textures with modern underground psytrance aesthetics. The upcoming EP on Sonic Loom Music marks a new chapter for the project, promising a deeper exploration into immersive rhythms, textured sound design, and mind-expanding sonic narratives.
