You've booked Koh Samui, the countdown is ON 🏝

And while choosing which beach you're going to first is obviously VERY important, there are a few slightly less exciting things worth sorting before you get on the plane ✈️

Travel insurance. An e-SIM. Airport transfers. Offline maps. How you're accessing your money. All the little bits that take five minutes to organise at home... and become considerably more annoying when you've just landed, you're hot, your phone won't connect and you can't remember the name of your hotel or what area you're staying in.

So we've put together our Koh Samui pre-flight checklist, not the obvious "remember your passport before leaving for the airport" stuff, but the things rhat genuinely make those first few hours that little bit easier.

💾 Save this post for the week before you fly, send it to the person you're travelling with who definitely hasn't organised ANY of this yet and then you can get back to the important stuff...

Look, we love a fire show as much as the next person, but every now and then, Friday night calls for a cold drink, a live reggae band and a sing-a-long, right?! 🇯🇲

Let us introduce you to Friday nights at .th

We popped in last Friday to check it out and had the BEST evening. We love the team at Wave and the setting is gorgeous, right on the beach, real laidback island vibes... but the band, the band were the icing on the cake!

Reggae classics, of course... AND they take requests... although Wham - Club Tropicana was not an acceptable answer 🤣

They have reggae night every Friday from 6.30 - 9.00 PM. So, if you're heading into the village to check out the market anyway, then we highly recommend stopping by, grabbing a cocktail and requesting your favourite tune.

I know we keep saying it, but there really is so much more to FV than the famous fire show 😉
