Tuchel choosing to play Reece James out of position in midfield at the 2026 World Cup while leaving Kobbie Mainoo on the bench the entire tournament, paired with Amorim and Wilcox wanting to sell Kobbie for £40m, is an absolute comedy show. 👀
I’m not just saying this because he’s our academy kid—the boy’s game is just ridiculously smooth. He plays with a tough edge, yet everything he does on the ball is so effortless and elegant.
His playstyle reminds me so much of Toni Kroos—he doesn't need to be running all over the pitch like crazy when he can just hold his position, dictate the tempo, and control the entire game. (Before the tactical purists come for me: I know he’s nowhere near Kroos’ level yet, I’m just talking about the similar playing style!)
If Kobbie keeps refining his vision and adds those visionary killer passes to his locker, he’s going to be absolute elite.
We almost let a generational talent walk away for pennies. Thank goodness sanity prevailed. Protect this kid at all costs and let him cook! 😂❤️
