American Tourist Assaulted Near Pattaya Walking Street!

PATTAYA, Thailand – A violent incident took place on Walking Street on the evening of Wednesday, October 8th, 2025, when an American tourist was allegedly assaulted by a Thai motorcyclist.

Mr. Quincy Nguyen Tran, a 50-year-old American citizen on vacation, was enjoying a night out with his family. After dining at a restaurant along Pattaya South Beach Road, they were walking back to their accommodation. As they reached a Middle Eastern restaurant just off of Walking Street on Soi 16, a Thai man riding a motorcycle reportedly swerved close to Mr. Tran, colliding with him from behind.

In an attempt to document the incident, Mr. Tran began recording a video while asking for law enforcement to come to mediate the collision for possible damages and insurance purposes. The assailant allegedly slapped the phone out of his hand and punched him, causing Mr. Tran to collapse unconscious on the street. The suspect then fled the scene on his motorcycle.

The incident was reported to the Pattaya City Police Station at 3:38 AM on October 9th, 2025. Lieutenant Pakkorn Prakobnan, who received the complaint said that they are now investigating and reviewing CCTV in the area to identify the assailant.

Pattaya Inspects Sea Walker Operations to Boost Tourism Image and Protect the Marine Ecosystem

PATTAYA, Thailand – October 9th, 2025 – At 10:30 AM, Pattaya City officials, led by Deputy Mayor Wuthisak Rermkijakarn, conducted an inspection of sea walker tour boats operating between Pattaya and Koh Larn. The delegation included Pattaya City Council member Damrongkiat Phinitchakarn, assistant secretaries to the mayor and city council chairman, along with Porraphirom Sueadang, Director of Environmental Health Promotion, and Sanya Thabthimsri, Head of the Cleanliness and Waste Management Division under Pattaya’s Natural Resources and Environment Office.

The inspection focused on ensuring compliance with safety, hygiene, and environmental regulations for sea walker activities, a popular underwater walking tourism experience. Deputy Mayor Wuthisak revealed that recent meetings with sea walker operators discussed the need for standardized oversight, including mandatory annual licensing to regulate operations uniformly. Operators must employ certified supervisors trained under guidelines set by the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources to minimize damage to coral reefs and marine ecosystems.

“We aim to ensure sea walker activities adhere to safety standards, comply with regulations, and avoid exploiting tourists or polluting the environment,” Wuthisak stated. “Today’s inspection serves as an example to assess preparedness, but licenses won’t be issued immediately. Further checks are required.”

The inspected vessel showed satisfactory safety measures, operating at a depth of 3-4 meters with closely supervised teams, reducing risks to tourists. However, deficiencies were noted, particularly the lack of a wastewater tank, though the vessel’s sanitation system was deemed adequate. Overall, the inspection yielded positive results, but Wuthisak added that each boat must undergo regular checks by officials, including himself, to ensure tourist safety and protect Pattaya’s tourism reputation.

Failure to maintain standards could tarnish Pattaya’s image and impact Thailand’s tourism industry, he warned. Currently, 19 sea walker operators are registered, with 18 actively operating. All are urged to obtain updated licenses by the end of October. Operators can apply at Pattaya’s Public Health and Environment Office, with further inspections planned to ensure compliance.

Pattaya City’s efforts want to enhance tourist safety, promote a positive image, and maintain a sustainable balance between economic growth and marine conservation.

Pattaya Mayor Oversees Progress on City Sports Stadium Construction

Pattaya, Thailand – Mayor Poramese Ngampichet recently inspected the ongoing construction of the Pattaya City Sports Stadium. According to the mayor and his team, all construction work unrelated to the stadium’s roof has been fully completed, marking a turning point in the long ongoing project.

However, the roof structure has undergone a redesign due to safety concerns. The original roof framework, left abandoned for an extended period, was deemed unsafe, necessitating its demolition and reconstruction. The new roof design has been finalized, but the additional work will extend the project timeline as the new structure is implemented. The exact extension on the timeline is unclear.

Mayor Poramese, known by his nickname of Beer, explained the importance of ensuring safety and quality, stating that the revised timeline reflects the city’s commitment to delivering a secure and modern facility for residents and visitors. Further updates on the project’s completion are expected as construction progresses.

✨ A Wedding Smile Saved in Just 3 Hours ✨

Tomorrow was meant to be the happiest day of her life—her wedding day. But when this young woman walked into Miradent Clinic, her smile told a different story. She was missing her front teeth, and with every lab in Pattaya and across the country closed for the New Year holidays, the dream of smiling confidently on her wedding day seemed impossible.

But we believe dentistry is not only about treating teeth—it’s about healing hearts. 💙

With urgency and compassion, Dr. Jan and the Miradent team decided to take on the challenge. Using only the tools and materials available in the clinic, they worked tirelessly to create an emergency set of dentures. Within just 3 hours, she had a beautiful, natural-looking smile—ready to shine on her wedding day.

This was more than just dental treatment. It was a gift of confidence, joy, and love on the most important day of her life. 💍✨

At Miradent, we don’t just restore smiles—we restore dreams.

Pattaya police rescued a Thai woman this morning with the help of her brother who was reportedly being held captive against her will by a group of Chinese men involved in a scam gang after she responded to an ad online about a job for essentially being a mule bank account holder. When she responded, the group reportedly forced her to empty her account and then held her against her will until she convinced others to come and do the same.
