Peripheral Pictures/Mbrella Films’ & Hollywood Thailand’s ‘Peen Kleaw Thai’ debuts August 21, 2025

BANGKOK, THAILAND — August 14, 2025 — Thai action-drama Peen Kleaw will have its theatrical release in Thailand on August 21, 2025.

Directed by rising Thai filmmaker Arthur Boon and Produced by Adam Pray, Joshua Dixon and Niccolo De La Fere under the Peripheral Pictures banner and co-produced by Mbrella Films and Hollywood Thailand

Peen Kleaw pays homage to the legacy of Thai action cinema while introducing a bold new voice in the genre. Inspired by the choreography of late stunt master Panna Rittikrai (Ong-Bak, Born to Fight). It blends emotional storytelling with gritty, bone-crunching fight sequences that harken back to the golden era of Thai action cinema. The film follows a young man who must confront a violent gang in order to protect his home village— a gripping tale of loyalty, redemption, and survival set in the heart of modern-day Bangkok.

Peripheral Pictures/Mbrella Films, is focused on development of elevated genre content and culturally grounded stories across Southeast Asia. With a dual focus on international co-productions and original IP, the company develops, finances, and produces films for the global market. Peripheral Pictures/Mbrella Films contributions to the project not only included development but also Production and Post-Production Services. Peen Kleaw is the first Thai-language title produced in-house under the Peripheral banner, with additional projects coming soon from Myanmar, Vietnam, and the U.S.

Peen Kleaw was the first production ever to receive the soft power grant provided by Content Thailand, the Ministry of Culture and now operated by THACCA.

Peen Kleaw is being distributed in Thailand by Hollywood Thailand and opens theatrically nationwide in Thailand on August 21. Mbrella films will handle International film sales and distribution.

We have wrapped up a great TVC working with Societal in collaboration with Play-Doh. Mbrella Films Provided full production coverage from casting to location scouting during pre-production followed a by full production service for the shoot. We also worked with our post-production house, that covered Offline Editing, Color Grading, and Sound Mix services to help finalize and deliver the final TVC.

Mbrella Films was commissioned to provide a Creative Treatment, Production Services & Post-Production for AliPay+, in collaboration with SOCIETAL. Alipay+ is the official payment platform partner for the UEFA Euro 2024 that’s right around the corner!
