Delicious 😋Ingredients:
1 whole duck (about 4-5 pounds)
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon five-spice powder
Salt and pepper to taste
2-3 green onions, chopped
Fresh ginger slices (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare Duck: Rinse the duck inside and out, then pat it dry with paper towels. Score the skin in a diamond pattern, being careful not to cut into the flesh.
Make Marinade: In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, five-spice powder, salt, and pepper.
Marinate Duck: Rub the marinade all over the duck, including inside the cavity. Stuff the cavity with green onions and ginger if using.
Roast Duck: Place the duck on a roasting rack in a baking pan. Roast for about 1.5 to 2 hours, basting every 30 minutes, until the skin is crispy and the duck is cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).
Rest and Serve: Let the duck rest for 10-15 minutes before carving. Serve with your choice of sides.
