Now look at this nice setup and install. 12V 600Ah lifepo4 battery with TBS load relay, a charge relay and a DC/DC charger for the starter battery. The Alternator voltage sense and charge goes straight into the Lithium house bank 🤩🤩

YAY 🎉🤩Things are shaping up. The Lid for our DIY Lifepo4 battery bank is nearly ready to be installed. You can see the foam separation wall on the inverter side to use the Inverters Twin Fan system to pump air throughout the whole array including the cells and BMS. Small Maintence hatch to reach the buttons on the inverter. 48V 9.6kWh (1300 USD!) with a 3kW inverter. Another step done towards electric propulsion.

Finished our mood lights for the cockpit. Individually dimmable lights, from cold white to warm white, from dark to bright, blue or red, all possible🤩

We are officially in the 48V Club 🤩🤩 not pretty yet but our 9.6kWh bank is up and running. Our 3kW inverter is powered up and ready to be connected to the system.

Still have to tidy up the cable salad, relocate our MPPT chargers and connect our 2kW solar farm to the new house bank...🤩🙏exciting days.

Oh yeah and I need a cover for the box 😉

Not enough Busbars to top-balance your Lifepo4 pack? Use any cable, just make sure not to short out any cells by accident 😆 no that did not happen to me lol

48V 9.6kWh battery bank is coming together. Today I have installed the wall to keep the 16 cells in place, mounted the BMS in a convenient position and have made the terminals to connect it all together.

These terminals are actually through the wall, making it possible to connect our MPPT chargers from the outside directly to the terminals.

I am still waiting on the Lab voltage thingiebob to top balance the cells and check the internal resistance.

Tomorrow is another day 🤙

Our new, Grade A, CALB batteries have arrived 🤩 16 oceanblue cells, 200Ah each to build a 9.6kWh Battery bank. 16 cells = 840USD that comes down to 8.7 cents per Wh 🤩🤩😍 sure I made a calculation error somewhere, too good to be true😅

BMS is still in the mail and honeycomb box is being designed in my head as we speak 😅 let's see how that turns out.

The 4 black ones are Sinopoly and I want to give them a good shakedown to see how they perform Vs the CALB.

The trouble with any transducer is the fine tuning adjustments to make it work even at higher speeds without having turbulent water disturbing its function. Trying to achieve that repeatedly as a removable option is another challenge. I like it small, simple and good looking as well, no waterpipe or clamp-on options I have seen tickle my fancy. I am thinking to bend this out a 2mm 316 plate and mount it to the transom of the dinghy while the transducer can be slid into and held tight by it repeatedly in the same position. Now I gotta find 316 SS here in Phuket, anyone know where I can find that?
