Honest post
I’ve not been losing weight and I really struggled the first few weeks as to why I wasn’t losing weight. This was my main goal for coming out to Thailand.
When I’m working out I’m struggling with my temperature regulation (overheating and not being able to cool myself down) this was also happening at home so it not the heat. When I do start to overheat my heart rate spikes and fatigue kicks in. Which means after 30 minutes i need to take bigger rests in between sets or exercises. So will need to go see a doctor when I’m home to try and get answers.
But what I have noticed is I’ve lost some inches, I’ve gone down a clothes size (XL to L). When I came out I was out of breath and in pain just walking upstairs. Now I can walk up stairs completely normally. I’ve slowly been increasing my weights. Nowhere near what I could years ago but will hopefully get there again.
Most of all I’m starting to feel like me again. I’m enjoying life again and not wanting to hide away, disgusted in myself. It’s small steps in the right direction.
