"No matter how old I get, I’ll always be your little one. Your love is written in the deepest corners of my heart. I might not say it every day, but I love you more than words will ever explain."

I miss my mom so much.
I miss her sitting in the corner of the bed, peeling fruit for me.
I miss the old days when I’d come home and see her hanging clothes in the sun.
I miss the mornings she woke me up, the nights she stayed up waiting.
I miss her warm hand patting my back as I cried in silence.
I miss her laughter echoing through the house and her gentle scolding when I was lazy.
I miss her voice, soft and loving, calling me home for dinner.
I miss the feeling of being truly loved—unconditionally, completely, and without having to ask.
I miss my mom so much...
So much that it aches even in my sleep.

I wish I could have one more day with you, Dad. One more chance to say thank you—for your love, your sacrifices, your strength. Life hasn’t been the same without you. I carry the pain of your absence every day, hidden behind smiles and conversations. People think I’ve moved on, but truthfully, I’ve just learned to live with the emptiness.

Some days are harder than others. A memory, a smell, a familiar song—and suddenly, I’m reminded of everything I’ve lost. I miss your voice, your laugh, your steady hand that made everything feel okay.

You were more than just my father—you were my safe place, my guide, my hero. And though you're no longer here, your love still lives on in me. I will always wish you were still alive, and I will always miss you, Dad.

🌊 Hawaii, the island of songs… now sings only of sorrow.

Once kissed by sun and blessed by waves,
Now battered by a force that showed no mercy.
An 8.8 magnitude earthquake shook the sea—
and the sea took everything in return.

Not just homes…
But lullabies.
Photographs.
Names no longer called.

The water came not gently,
but like a thief in the night—
stealing fathers from dinners,
children from dreams,
and history from the hands of those who built it.

Entire villages drowned in silence.
Phones stopped ringing.
Lights never turned back on.
And voices that once laughed over luaus and bonfires…
were swept into the endless blue.

People stood on rooftops—not to watch sunsets,
but to say goodbye to a life they’ll never get back.

The coconut trees still sway,
but they bow now—
as if mourning too.

This is not just a disaster.
This is a wound on the heart of the Pacific.

But even as the ocean roared,
faith whispered.
And in every hand reaching for the broken,
in every boat that came back for one more,
in every prayer lifted skyward—
Hawaii rose.

We do not forget.
We do not move on.
We hold Hawaii in our trembling hands,
and whisper to the waves:

“Return what you can.
And to what you can’t…
we’ll carry the memory for as long as the sea exists.”
